Lone Meditation?
« on: April 25, 2012, 10:56:43 AM »
Hello learned ones -

Has Bhagawan said something about sitting in a place and meditating lonely? Has Bhagawan given any gems on whether one should do that as a task daily?

Any gems?

Salutations to Bhagawan

Dear sanjya ganesh,

Sri Bhagavan's sadhana was over in 20 minutes. After attaining Self Realization, He came to Tiruvannamalai. For such a person
what is there to talk?  And to whom?  So He kept silent in the early years.  People say that He did tapas in Patala Lingam temple
etc., No. He just wanted to remain silent far from the madding crowd. That is all.  Saint VaLLalar says: Vizhithiru - Be awake.
Thanitthiru - Be alone. Pasithiru  - Be always some what hungry, and not with full stomach.  Why?

If you remain vizhithiru - you can always be in the bliss of the Self within. Till one attains Jnana, sleep is an avarana, the veiling

Then, thanitthiru - Be alone. Why? If you remain in company of people, even if you do not want to talk, they will drag you into
some conversation and discussions.  No discussion will help one to realize the Self.

Pasithiru - Be somewhat hungry. Some hunger will make you keep awake. Full stomach will  give only sleep.

Arunachala Siva.
