Happiness in the Bodhicaryavantara
« on: October 10, 2010, 12:50:22 PM »
Whatever joy there is in this world
All comes from desiring others to be happy,
And whatever suffering there is in this world
All comes from desiring myself to be happy.

Dear matthias,

Yes.  Bhagavan Ramana lived like that.  He always desired others
to be happy.  He solved the problem of a goat-herd who had missed
his stick, by making a nice stick for him in 15 minutes and made him
happy.  He Himself was ever in a happy state when others were made
happy due to His abundant Grace.  His happiness within permeated
into others and made them happy.
