D: What is the significance of the Crucifixion?

M: The body is the cross. Jesus, the son of man, is the ego or ‘I-am-the-body’-idea. When the son of man is crucified on the cross, the ego perishes, and what survives is the Absolute Being. It is the resurrection of the glorious Self, of the Christ — the son of God.

D: Should I not try to help the suffering world?

M: The Power that created you has created the world as well. If it can take care of you, it can similarly take care of the world also .... if God has created the world, it is His business to look after it, not yours.

Superb. I always wonder that pasu pathi paasam of Saiva siddhantha, Father, Son and the Holy Spirit of Christianity and Jeevaathma ,Paramaathma and Maya all denote only advaitha and lead to Selfrealisation. The post strengthens my knowledge. Om Namo Bhagavathe Arunachala Ramanaaya!

How Ramana being a proponent of the doctrine of non-creation could make such a statement. Bhagawan has gone damn paradoxical over here.
O Divine, lead me to dizzy heights of sublimity & loftiness

Dear Soham,

Bhagavan generally gives advice depending on the maturity level of the seeker.

In bhakti which is dual, one has to accept the concepts of Jiva and Godhead.  The
simile that God bears all the burden and why should you have a head-load comes
in Sri Arunachala Padigam.  There is nothing wrong in that, because many devotees
who came to Bhagavan were also following devotional path.  Again, Bhagavan
Ramana did not say Pasu, Pati, Pasam of Saiva Siddhanta.  When He said about
three prime entities, He meant only the Jiva, the World and Iswara, vide
Sad Darsanam.  He had not mentioned about Maya at all.  It is the nonexistent
Maya or Mind that He was teachings in all His works.

Arunachala Siva.
