Capt. A. Narayanan, is the son of Pudukottai K. Narayana Iyer,
a direct devotee of Bhagavan Ramana.  The Captain joined the
Indian Navy and after the completion of short commissioned
service, worked in Merchant Navy upto 1975.  He came to
Tiruvannamalai for good in 1992.  He was ever abiding in Arunachala
and Bhagavan Ramana and he made it his nitya-karma the pradakshina of the Hill and continued till his health failed.  He should be remembered for his compilation of Tamil and English
editions of Arunachala's Ramana - Boundless Ocean of Grace,
an 8-volume compendium.  After contracting cancer, he was
taking treatment in Bangalore and merged in Bhagavan
on 28th August 2009.  During his stay in the Asramam, he
was the participant in the daily Naryana Seva, the feeding of
the sadhus in the Asramam.
