Controversies by Pandits
« on: July 09, 2009, 10:39:31 AM »
Several pandits used to come to Bhagavan Ramana.  They
always ask some questions that may raise controversies, particularly comparing various Gurus etc.,  They are like
flies, which hop from one dirt to another, from wounds, to
ditch water and from there to rotten food etc., They do not
want anubhava but wanted to revel in controversies.  Bhagavan
Ramana was careful in not giving room for such controversies.

They will come and ask Him:  'Whether Sankara is greater
or Ramanuja?'  'Whether Sri Ramakrishna is greater or
Shirdi Sai Baba?'  Whether you are correct or Aurobindo is
correct?'  etc., etc.,

Once there were discussions about Sri Aurobindo and Bhagavan
Ramana.  The curious Pandit asked:  What is the difference
between your approach and Sri Aurobindo's approach?'

Bhagavan after a pause answered:  Sri Aurobindo says that
Sarangati is paramount.  I am also telling the same thing.
First do Saranagati and then see whether there are differences
between me and Aurobindo?

The pandits became mute.
