Bhagavan, Manikkavachagar and Tiruvachakam - 5
« on: February 24, 2009, 12:44:05 PM »
On the same occasion, that is, Letters of Suri Nagamma, dated 8th Sept 1947, Bhagavan Ramana cited the famous verse 10 of Kovil
Tiru Padigam.

What have you  given is Yourself.
What You took in exchange, O Sankara, is me.
Who is the wiser of us two?
What I have gained is bliss that has no end.
What single thing have You obtained from me?
O Lord who made my mind His shrine!
Hail Siva, dwelling in Holy Perundurai!
For Your taking up residence in my body,
I cannot, my Father, God,
Offer you any fitting recompense.

(The commentators of Saiva Siddhanta texts say that with this
verse, the Nayaki-Nayaka bhava is complete in Tiruvachakam.
After this what ever he sings is Sivanubhuti, Non Dual Consciousness.  He says in three songs, Yattirai Pathu, Decad
of Pilgrimage, Tiru Padai Ezhucchi, the Song of Holy Army and
the Tirupadai Atchi, the Song of the Rule of the Holy Army, about the Siva devotees, going to Siva loka, conquering all the forces of maya, karma and ego.)
