Verse on Mahadeepam - The Inner Path
« on: February 23, 2009, 11:19:40 AM »
Mr. Upahar has written a poem, titled Mahadeepam - The Inner Path,
in the Aradhana issue of Mountain Path, 2007.  It reads:

In a moment unknown to time
between the setting and rising of the worlds,
the Lord of all hearts,
has crowned Himself
with His single unthinkable Fire.

He lets fall His cloak of night,
raises up the flowring moon
and unrolls beneath these ever-willing feet
the naked path of adoration

Auspicious on igh the dancing constellation
by ancient silent-most rocks
and mirrored in rare, enchanted waters
the pilgrim dreams the way

Formeless You shine,
for who is here apart from You
to trace your beloved outline?

All being now is honoured and illumined,
all things prosper and delight;
Creation wonders and wonders,
every atom sings Your glory

You stand forever still,
You burn for Pure Joy,
You burn at the core of all,
You burn at the core.
