Tiruvembavai - 20
« on: January 04, 2009, 10:39:42 AM »
Tiruvembavai - 20 is the last song in Tiruvembavai.  Unlike Tiruppavai,
of Andal, which comprises of 30 verses, this one contains only 20 verses.
Andal in Tiruppavai, after 20th song, gives picture of the girls going
to Naryana to wake him up!  Saint Manikkavachagar, has composed
separately 10 verses, sung by the girls to wake up Siva, and this is
called Tiru Palli Ezhuchi.  These songs, we will see from tomorrow.

The Verse 20 reads as under:

Glory to your lotus feet, the One who is more ancient than the ancient!
Glory to your red flower like feet, the One which is the end aftet all the end!
Glory to your golden feet, which is the birthplace of all living beings!
Glory to your flower like feet, which is the enjoyment of all living beings!
Glory to your two feet which is the end place for living beings!
Glory to the lotus feet, which are not seen by Vishnu and Brahma!
Glory to the golden feet, which have taken over over us to rule!
Glory to us, who are taking bath in this Dhanur month, in the cool waters!

Arunachala Siva.
