Tiruvembavai - 16
« on: December 31, 2008, 09:59:21 AM »
The Verse 16 of Tiruvembavai, speaks about the glory of Unnamulai,
Siva's consort, through the singing of the girls.  They all praise the
rain-clouds:

O the dark rain clouds, you drank the water from the seas and rose
up as dark benefactor, like Unnamulai, and she is all of your complexion.
You caused the lightning, that is bright and thin. and this is like the
slender waist of our Mother Unnamulai.  Then the great sounding
thunders were heard.  They are like the sounds of the anklets of our
Mother Unnamulai.  When the rain bow appeared, it is like the bright
forehead of our Mother Unnamulai.  O rain clouds, you shower copious
rains to us, devotees,  as the rains like  Grace of  Unnamulai and
Annamalai.  O girls let us contemplate on these and sing!

Arunachala Siva.
