Dear srkudai,

Yes. Sri Bhagavan also give the sleep example in many of His conversations.  Where is the mind in sleep? But still you are there.
You tell in the morning that you had slept well. Who is that 'I' who has slept well?  Sri Bhagavan would ask.

Absolutely Subramanian sir. In Sat Darshanam (Ullathu Napathu in Tamil) - Bhagawan hints at this and I love the intrepretation Sri Nochur Venkatraman gives for this. Do like a meditation asking yourself every morning - "Where was I few hours back" ?

Dear sanjaya_ganesh,

Yes. I have been practicing this on a few mornings.  When one could understand his state in sushupti, and try to remain in that
state even in waking, it is the goal almost achieved.  A Saint Poet says: ThoongAmal thoongi sukam peruvathu ekkAlam?
How can I get that state where I sleep without sleeping and attain bliss?  Sri Bhagavan quotes sushupti example for more than
90 times in Talks.
