Today is Maha Sivaratri, the great night of Siva. In all Siva temples, there will
be abhishekam, alankaram and arti - throughout tonight. In Asramam too there
will do the same for Sri Ramaneswara Mahalingam tonight. The devotees will
keep awake throughout to night singing songs in praise of Siva and Sri Bhagavan.
In the Big Temple in Tiruvannamalai too, there will be celebrations throughout the night.
In Siva temples like Chidambaram, Tiru Anaikka, Sri Kalahasti,
Tiruvarur, etc., there will be night long celebrations.
