Verse  4:


நஞ்சமர் கண்டத்தன் அண்டத் தவர்நாதன்
மஞ்சுதோய் மாடமணி உத்தர கோசமங்கை
அஞ்சொலாள் தன்னோடுங் கூடி அடியவர்கள்
நெஞ்சுளே நின்றமுதம் ஊறிக் கருணைசெய்து
துஞ்சல் பிறப்பறுப்பான் தூய புகழ்பாடிப்
புஞ்சமார் வெள்வளையீர் பொன்னூசல் ஆடாமோ. 


O ye belles bedecked with rows of white bangles !
He holds the poison in His throat;
He is the Lord-Master of the heavenly ones.
He who is entempled in Uttharakosamangkai over the tops of whose beautiful Mansions,
clouds rest,
is concorporate with Her of melodious words.
He abides in the bosoms of His servitors and causes nectar to spring therein.
In mercy He snaps the cycle of birth and death.
We will sing His immaculate glory and push the auric swing to make it move to and fro.

Verse  5:

ஆணோ அலியோ அரிவையோ என்றிருவர்
ணாக் கடவுள் கருணையினால் தேவர்குழாம்
நாணாமே உய்யஆட் கொண்டருளி நஞ்சுதனை
ஊணாக உண்டருளும் உத்தர கோசமங்கைக்
ணார் பிறைச்சென்னிக் கூத்தன் குணம்பரவிப்
பூணார் வனமுலையீர் பொன்னூசல் ஆடாமோ.


O ye damsels whose lovely breasts are bejewelled !
He is the God who is unseen by the Two who did not Know whether what they saw was a male or a female or a sexless one.
In mercy,
He redeemed and saved them from death and shame,
by eating the venom as His victuals.
He is the Dancer of Uttharakosamangkai who wears on His head a curved crescent.
We will hail His virtues and push the auric swing to make it move to and fro.

Verse 6:

மாதாடு பாகத்தன் உத்தர கோசமங்கைத்
தாதாடு கொன்றைச் சடையான் அடியாருள்
கோதாட்டி நாயேனை ஆட்கொண்டென் தொல்பிறவித்
தீதோடா வண்ணந் திகழப் பிறப்பறுப்பான்
காதாடு குண்டலங்கள் பாடிக் கசிந்தன்பால்
போதாடு பூண்முலையீர் பொன்னூசல் ஆடாமோ.


O ye belles over whose bejeweled breasts,
garlands sway !
He is concorporate with His Consort;
He is the Lord of Uttharakosamangkai, whose matted hair is decked with Konrai flowers,
rich in pollen.
Among His servitors,
He chose me ? a cur ?,
cherished me,
Redeemed me and rules me.
Lo,
He did away with my transmigration and uprooted the evils of my hoary Karma.
In melting love,
we will hail His ear-pendants and push the auric swing and make it move to and fro.

Verse  7:


உன்னற் கரியதிரு உத்தர கோசமங்கை
மன்னிப் பொலிந்திருந்த மாமறையோன் தன்புகழே
பன்னிப் பணிந்திறைஞ்சப் பாவங்கள் பற்றறுப்பான்
அன்னத்தின் மேலேறி ஆடும்அணி மயில்போல்
என்னத்தன் என்னையும்ஆட் கொண்டான் எழில்பாடிப்
பொன்னொத்த பூண்முலையீர் பொன்னூசல் ஆடாமோ.

O ye damsels whose be-jewelled breasts are gold !
The author of the great Vedas is aeviternally entempled in the inconceivably great and divine Uttharakosamangkai.
If we hail His glory,
Again and again,
bow at His feet and pray,
He will tear away the bondage begotten by sins.
Like a pea-fowl mounting and dancing on the plank of a swing,
we will mount the swing,
sing His ? My father's,
my Redeemer's splendor and push it and make it move and fro.

Verse  8:

கோல வரைக்குடுமி வந்து குவலயத்துச்
சால அமுதுண்டு தாழ்கடலின் மீதெழுந்து
ஞால மிகப்பரிமேற் கொண்டு நமையாண்டான்
சீலந் திகழுந் திருவுத்தர கோசமங்கை
மாலுக் கரியானை வாயார நாம்பாடிப்
பூலித் தகங்குழைந்து பொன்னூசல் ஆடாமோ.


Down He descended from the splendorous mountain-peak,
On earth much food did (sweet pudding called pittu)  He consume and up He rose on the deep sea.
For the weal of the world,
He ? our Redeemer ?,
rode on a charger.
With full-throated ease.
Sing the Lord of glorious and divine Uttharakosamangkai who is not accessible to Vishnu,
melt in swelling rapture and push the auric swing to make it move to and fro.

Verse 9:

தெங்குலவு சோலைத் திருஉத்தர கோசமங்கை
தங்குலவு சோதித் தனியுருவம் வந்தருளி
எங்கள் பிறப்பறுத்திட் டெந்தரமும் ஆட்கொள்வான்
பங்குலவு கோதையுந் தானும் பணிகொண்ட
கொங்குலவு கொன்றைச் சடையான் குணம்பரவிப்
பொங்குலவு பூண்முலையீர் பொன்னூசல் ஆடாமோ.

O ye lasses whose swelling breasts are bejewelled !
The One of unique and effulgent form abiding at Divine Uttharakosamangkai girt with groves of coconut-trees,
deigned to come down to snap our transmigration.
He will even redeem and rule servitors like unto me ? the unworthy one.
He,
whose matted hair is damasked with melliferous konrai flowers,
Appeared with His Consort,
ever-concorporate with Him,
And accepted our service.
We will hail His virtues and push the auric swing to make it move to and fro.

Annai Pathu:

(Decade to Mother)

Verse 1:

வேத மொழியர்வெண் ணீற்றர்செம் மேனியர்
நாதப் பறையினர் அன்னே என்னும்
நாதப் பறையினர் நான்முகன் மாலுக்கும்
நாதர்இந் நாதனார் அன்னே என்னும்.


The answers of the confidante of the heroine to the nurse who questions her about the altered state of the heroine, constitute this decade.

O mother, she says:
"His words are the Vedas;
He wears the white Holy Ash;
His body is ruddy;
His drum is Naada! "!
O mother,
she also says:
"He whose drum is Naada is the Lord-Master of such masters like Brahma and Vishnu."

Verse 2:

கண்ணஞ் சனத்தர் கருணைக் கடலினர்
உண்ணின் றுருக்குவர் அன்னே என்னும்
உண்ணின் றுருக்கி உலப்பிலா ஆனந்தக்
கண்ணீர் தருவரால் அன்னே என்னும்.


O mother,
she says:
"His eyes are touched with khol;
He is a sea of mercy;
He will inly abide and melt us."
O mother,
she also says:
"Melting us " abiding in us,
He will bless us with the tears of endless bliss.

Verse 3:

நித்த மணாளர் நிரம்ப அழகியர்
சித்தத் திருப்பரால் அன்னே என்னும்
சித்தத் திருப்பவர் தென்னன் பெருந்துறை
அத்தர்ஆ னந்தரால் அன்னே என்னும்.

O mother she says:
"He is a perpetual Bride-groom;
He is exceedingly handsome;
He abides in mind."
O mother,
she also says:
"He who abides in mind,
The Southerner of Perunturai,
is the blissful Father.

Verse 4:


ஆடரப் பூணுடைத் தோல்பொடிப் பூசிற்றோர்
வேடம் இருந்தவா றன்னே என்னும்
வேடம் இருந்தவா கண்டுகண் டென்னுள்ளம்
வாடும் இதுஎன்னே அன்னே என்னும்.


O mother,
she says:
"His jewels are dancing snakes;
He wears a tiger-skin;
He is bedaubed with ash;
Behold how His habit is."
O mother,
she also says:
"Eyeing it again and again,
my heart wilts.
What may this be?

Verse 5:

நீண்ட கரத்தர் நெறிதரு குஞ்சியர்
பாண்டிநன் னாடரால் அன்னே என்னும்
பாண்டிநன் னாடர் பரந்தெழு சிந்தையை
ஆண்டன்பு செய்வரால் அன்னே என்னும்.

O mother,
she says:
"His hands are long;
matted tresses are His hair;
He is the goodly Lord of the Pandya realm."
O mother,
she also says:
"The goodly Lord of the Pandya realm will rule the roving mind
bestow love on me."

Verse  6:


உன்னற் கரியசீர் உத்தர மங்கையர்
மன்னுவ தென்நெஞ்சில் அன்னே என்னும்
மன்னுவ தென்நெஞ்சில் மாலயன் காண்கிலார்
என்ன அதிசயம் அன்னே என்னும்.

O mother,
she says:
"He is of Uttharamangkai inconceivably glorious;
He will ever abide in my heart."
O mother,
She also says:
"what marvel is this !
He who abides In my heart is by Vishnu and Brahma never beheld.

Verse 7:

வெள்ளைக் கலிங்கத்தர் வெண்டிரு முண்டத்தர்
பள்ளிக்குப் பாயத்தர் அன்னே என்னும்
பள்ளிக்குப் பாயத்தர் பாய்பரி மேற்கொண்டென்
உள்ளங் கவர்வரால் அன்னே என்னும்.

O mother,
she says:
"White is His clothing;
His forehead is white with the Holy Ash;
He wears a night-shirt."
O mother,
she also says :
"The One in night-shirt who rides a galloping charger is the stealer of my heart.

Verse  8:

தையலோர் பங்கினர் தாபத வேடத்தர்
ஐயம் புகுவரால் அன்னே என்னும்
ஐயம் புகுந்தவர் போதலும் என்னுள்ளம்
நையும்இது என்னே அன்னே என்னும்.

O mother,
she says:
"His half is His Consort.
His habit is a tapaswi's.
Lo,
He goes about begging alms,"
 O mother,
she also says:
"As He goes about begging alms,
My heart melts.
What may this be?"

Verse  9:

தாளி அறுகினர் சந்தனச் சாந்தினர்
ஆளெம்மை ஆள்வரால் அன்னே என்னும்
ஆளெம்மை ஆளும் அடிகளார் தங்கையில்
தாள மிருந்தவா றன்னே என்னும்.


O mother,
she says:
`He is hailed with thaaliaruku;
He wears the sandal-paste.
He rules us as His slaves."
 O mother,
she also says:
"In the hands of the great One are the cymbals.
How marvelous!"
