Verse 3:

அங்கங்களும் மறைநான்குடன்
    விரித்தான்இடம் அறிந்தோம்
தெங்கங்களும் நெடும்பெண்ணையும்
    பழம்வீழ்மணற் படப்பைச்
சங்கங்களும் இலங்கிப்பியும்
    வலம்புரிகளும் இடறி
வங்கங்களும் உயர்கூம்பொடு
    வணங்கும்மறைக் காடே.

We knew the place of Siva, who expounded the four Vedas, along with the six Aṅgams. In the enclosed sandy gardens where the Matura fruits of the coconut trees and the tall palmyra trees fall down. Throwing on the shore ordinary conches, shining oysters and Valampuri conches spiraling, clockwise even the inanimate things like the ships pay homage coming to the shore with their masts.

Arunachala Siva.

Siva wears on his chest a sacred thread called Panchavaṭi, made with grey hairs of Devas who die.  My mind which tries to know the place of the supreme god who is famous!  It is Maṟaikkāṭu, where the mango trees on the top of which clouds seem to crawl, grow on the roaring shore, where the waves which are in size like mountains dash on the shore, break into pieces and descend down.

Arunachala Siva.

My mind!
Start without thoughts of any doubt to worship with joined hands, and praise Siva.
The place of Siva who has matted locks, coiled into a crown in which there is Ganga,.
it is definitely Maṟaikkātu where the expansive ocean with its hands of waves push rare and big precious stones and pile them on the shore and strike against it bringing along with them ships and sharks.

Arunachala Siva.

Siva has a strong bull.
He has a weapon of a battle-axe. The place which is the residence of Siva who has  spreading matted locks coiled into a crown which wears Koṉṟai flowers and good and holy ebony flowers, is definitely Maṟaikkāṭu, which has blue water where in frequent intervals of the expansive ocean and by the side of the backwaters, the white cranes rise and fly from the inter spaces of the petals of the cool fragrant screw-pines which spread their fragrance.

Siva wears a tender and waxing crescent moon which rose fresh in the sky.
The place of Siva who admitted me as his protege, after weeding out the irresistible acts done in previous births, like removing out weeds. It is definitely Maṟaikkāṭu where the carp fish jump in the fields where the variety of superior paddy of yellowish hue is bent due to the weight of the corns and where the eastern sea (Bay of Bengal) which has extensive sand brings the ordinary spiraling conches with a superior variety of conch by name Salaṇchalam and strikes against the shore.

The place of Siva who has matted locks, coiled into a crown and twisted, on which the water of Gaṅga stays,  the waves of the sea where the big ships voyage carrying good cargoes and fragrant things on which bees swarm and stay, dash against the shore and recede, is definitely Maṟaikkāṭu, where they bring along with them conch spiraling clockwise and Salaṇchalan, as we knew Maṟaikkāṭu, we knew the place of our King.

People of this world!
People who wear short dresses, being low and preaching doctrine of Jain religion, though they have realized some truths with their limited knowledge, you do not mind them as great, but worship with joined hands the shrine of Maṟaikkāṭu, where blue sea-water rises high, and which is surrounded by cool gardens where the bees of six legs roam about and which belongs to Siva, who has eight shoulders, three eyes and who has the seven notes of music.

Arunachala Siva.

On Maṟaikkāṭu which is the abode of Siva, who has as a half Uma, who has beautiful breasts which rise above the bodice, the votaries who sing the garlands of Tamiḻ composed by Arūraṉ, who is the chief of the place, Nāvalūr which has fertile fields and is surrounded by many place in this world, will attain fame which will exist as long as world surrounded by ocean lasts.

Padigam on Tiru Maraikkatu completed.

Tiru Valampuram:

Verse  1:

I came to know now a small place of refuge for me also. It is Valampuram.  It is Valampuram on the shore of the sea where mature fruits fall from the Palmyra trees: Siva is the sympathetic and loving god.  It is the same to people who love Siva as Sundarar does. It is the place of sympathetic and loving god in the seven births to my mind.

Arunachala Siva.

மரவுரி புலியதள் அரைமிசை மருவினன்
அரவுரி நிரந்தயல் இரந்துண விரும்பிநின்
றிரவெரி யாடிதன் இடம்வலம் புரமே.

Siva has the mountain that bent of its own accord into a bow to burn the cities.
He is always new.  He joined together on the waist a tiger's skin and the bark of a tree used as clothing.  The skin of a cobra is on his body covering it completely.
He is desirous of eating his food by begging alms in the neighboring places.
Valampuram is his place where he dances in the night standing in the fire.

ஆறணி அவிர்சடை அழல்வளர் மழலைவெள்

Siva has a body on which holy ash is red as an adornment.  He wears cobras which spit fire from their eyes. He holds in his hand a cruel battle-axe that cuts things into pieces. Valampuram is the place of the god who holds a loft a flag on which the form of a white and young bull is written and whose glittering matted locks, which glows like fire and is adorned by the river.

The place where the mature fruits of palmyra and cool young coconut trees which are close, to each other so that the Surumpu that come there drink the honey from the flowers, fall from those trees. Valampuram is the good place of our god, where the celestial beings  stay when the waves of the expansive sea dash against the shore.
The celestial beings wait putting up with the cold of the waves as they do not get the opportune time for paying their obeisance.

Arunachala Siva.

Siva has the cleverness to hold the cruel battle-axe.  He has a bow which is capable of much killing. The place of that god who can raze the three high cities in a very short time is Valampuram which has places adjacent to the shore where the sand that is deposited carries with it a large measure of coral and pearls that are produced in the sea.

The place of the god who covers himself with the skin of an elephant whose must is black in color, rut flow of a must elephant.  In places where fresh water, fish, Kayal is crowded and where tall Palmyra trees grow densely and combine with hare-leaf creeper, Valampuram is also the place adjoining the shore of the big sea where the conches, Valampuram and Cala?calam, maṭe with their females.

The god who dances in the cremation ground desired by foxes, using it as a stage, the place of our master who dances to the tunes of the Yazh, in the standing posture.
Valampuram is the place of Siva, who dances in the burning fire, having with joy a lady who tresses of curly hairs which are plaited and tied into a knot.
