Causing the customs of the world to be destroyed, to make the breeze blow gently.
holding along with the bundle of feathers of flocks of peacock's tail and holding in the hand a network of ropes for placing the small pitcher of the ascetics, which has fine workmanship, Jains who try to perform penance having plucked the hairs of the head.
The supreme god who could not be known also by the Buddhists who cover their bodies with a robe soaked in red ochre. He the supreme god who dwells with desire in Maṟaivaṉam where in the beautiful fields the pearls which the conches have left are found in plenty.

With love born out of thinking of the supreme god who dwells with desire in Maṟaivaṉam where the blemishless goddess of wealth seated in a flower dwells conspicuously, the chief of the city of Kazhumalam whose fame which is sung by poets who practice many superior arts is increasing day by day. Those who are able to recite all the ten Tamizh verses which are full of sweet sound and composed by the expert in Tamizh who is also well versed in Tamizh Prose, will attain imposing appearance.

Padigam on Maraivanam, (Vedaranyam) completed.

Tiruk Kolakka:

Verse  1:

To cause the scabbard fish to jump in the sluice, the god in Kōlakkā where in the tank ladies dive and bathe what is the reason for assuming the form which has matted hair, crescent moon, smearing of holy ash and a strip of cloth used as a waist-band for securely tying the loin-cloth.

Verse 2:

The god whose head is adorned by the crescent moon, having a lady on his half,
He created in Kōlakkāvu a temple for the devotees to worship his feet with joined hands. He drank the poison to save the world from destruction [Drinking of the poison was not to exhibit his valour but it was done out of his great compassion.]

Cobra which has beautiful spots in his ornament, He has a curved crescent moon on his golden matted hair singing the fame of Kōlakkā of the perpetual youth, in a worthy manner. To cherish with love the Lord who is capable of chanting the Vedas diseases will vanish.

People who wish that the sins which were committed intentionally by the soul united with self-conceit, should release their hold on you! The Lord who holds a battle-axe and who has a young deer in his beautiful hand and who has an army of Bhootas which surround him, you live happily praising Kōlakkā without committing any fault.

Having a lady who has the gracefulness of a peacock, on his half, if one fixes his thought on Kōlakkā belonging to our father who burnt the demons of three forts to perish, which has gardens where there are Indian cuckoos (Kuyil) sins will vanish.

You who wish destroy the Karmas which can ruin you ! The one who wears on his head fragrant Koṉṟai flowers, you live happily thinking in your mind the feet of our Lord who is in Kōlakkā where festivals in which flag is hoisted, are always celebrated.

Near of those who worship with their hands the feet of the Lord which are crowded round by anklets, who is in Kōlakkā where, in the gardens having shades the swans of black bees hum like the music produced in the flute, there will be no sufferings.

Belonging to the god who pressed down the long hands of the king of Lanka girt by the sea of surging waves, to be fractured the karmas of those who worship in the proper manner Kōlakkā where musicians sing music with seven notes without any error, will leave them of their own accord.

One who could not be seen by Brahma, who is seated in the fragrant (lotus) flowers and Vishnu, who is lying on the mighty serpent-bed, the perpetual youth who kicked the god of death, you live happily by praising the feet of the god who has a bull and dwells in Kōlakkā.

those who follow the wrong ways [i.e. ] Jains, who fill up the dirt on their bodies which they willingly accumulate, without washing it and the Buddhists who cover their bodies with robes soaked in myrtle dye if those who do not pay heed to their teachings, praise Kōlakkā holding it as their refuge, their sins will vanish.

Praising the god in eminent Kōlakkā and composed by Jnana Sambandan, born in
Sirkazhi, having many good things those truthful people who are able to recite the verses which have the strength of the grace of god, will live with increasing prosperity as their Karmas are like the heavy round stone, leave them.

Sirkazhi:

Verse  1:

Lord who has a red and twisted matted locks, adorned with shining flowers of Indian laburnum! Protect us! So saying the Lord in Kaazhi, who is praised by human beings and celestial beings, standing in his presence, is the supreme god who is the meaning of the sweet words that are abundant in poetry, and who destroyed the three cities of the enemies.

Arunachala Siva.

The god in Kāazhi where the celestial beings who do not wink, enter into this world and crowd with fragrant garlands and sandal-wood paste praising our father, one who smears his body with well burnt sacred ash. The spotless one is the deity who dances in the evening. [The dance is called Sandhyā Tāṇṭavam].
