Verse  3:

The sound of drums, the sound produced in conches is full on all sides.
Those devotees who know other sounds produced everywhere, from instruments beaten with a stick. My mind will not know any other thing except the nature of the god who dwells in Niṉṟiyūr and who has on his matted hair water (of Ganga) which is full.

Arunachala Siva.

Verse  4:

He has a beautiful sacred thread of three strands on his chest which can be compared to a mountain, blossomed Koṉṟai flowers are dense along with the sacred thread.
Unless the devotees worship the feet of the god which can accept them into their grace, in Niṉṟiyūr surrounded by gardens which seem to touch the milk-white moon,
those devotees cannot know god with the help of their own knowledge, which is defective. [unless god himself grants spiritual vision or inward illumination one cannot see god].

Arunachala Siva.

Verse  5:

Hearing the music of the flute and the humming of the bees,
in Niṉṟiyūr surrounded by gardens where the beautiful shadows interspersed with spots of light are found and where the Indian cuckoo sings, the god who is loved and dances to make the anklets sound, holding a red-hot iron which has flames burning clock-wise and dances in the fire at the end of the world, is our support.

Arunachala Siva.

Having as a half a lady of smiling white teeth, the hero who placed water(of Ganga) on his matted hair along with the crescent on one side, resides cheerfully.
My mind will not know anything except the feet of the god in Niṉṟiyūr where beautiful gardens are growing densely.

Assuming a form for begging alms and holding tightly a skull in his hand, the great Lord of the Devas who wanders for that, the god with a frontal eye, who adorns himself with a crescent moon, besides tying round his waist the skin of a tiger, is staying permanently in Niṉṟiyūr.

One who could not be known by Brahma, seated in a fertile (lotus)flower and Vishnu who swllowed all the worlds, who were so proud as to fight to decide who was the chief and who was not, the Lord who is permanent in Niṉṟiyūr surrounded by vast stretch of paddy fields, and who is our wealth. My mind will not know any other thing except his feet as worthy of worship.

Verse  10:

Without getting confused on hearing the words of the ignorant, Jains who could not understand the one thing which is meditated upon, losing one's identity without forgetting and not changing from it, which has come down to us as the preceptor showed spiritual path from time immemorial. Unmindful of the symbols of those people who have no right paths of their own, that praise is really worth the name, which extols the feet of the Lord who holds in his hand a young deer, in Niṉṟiyūr.

Arunachala Siva.

Verse  11:

The body and the shoulders (of that demon) who lifted the mountain to be crushed,
praising Niṉṟiyūr of the god who fixed firmly one toe, standing, if one says the Tamizh verses whose fame does not diminish, composed by Jnana Sambandhan well-versed in Tamizh, a native of Pukali which abounds in good things, his fame will be filling the earth without decreasing at any time. [The story of Ravaṇaṉ which should be in the eight stanza is mentioned in the last one, contrary to his usual arrangement.]

Padigam on Tiru Ninriyur concluded.

Arunachala Siva.

Tiru Ninriyur:

Verse  1:

Having destroyed the strength of the old Yama by his leg,
to the god who stays permanently in Niṉṟiyūr which has natural tanks in which fragrant blue Nelumbo flowers grow. Trident is the weapon. Well burnt holy ash is the toilet powder and sandal-wood paste. The crescent moon which is as white as milk is on the matted hair coiled into a crown.

Arunachala Siva.

Verse  2:

Devotees, who bow to the holy feet of the god who has affection to admit people who offer fragrant Koṉṟai flowers, himself having desired it, who is in Niṉṟiyūr and has stationed in his neck poison, have nothing to fear have no sins.
They have no destruction which is the result of sins do not have acute sufferings
also, daily.

Arunachala Siva.
