Siva has  ruddy matted locks, which is wet with the water of Ganga.  He wears a belt of a long cobra. Holding a very sharp trident having blades coated with poison,
his dresses are a loin cloth and a skin flayed from the deer.  His garland is Konrai which blossoms profusely in winter. The city in which such a god dwells without partiality, the karmas as will be completely destroyed, if we praise Patticharam in Paḻaisai which has great fame in this world.

Arunachala Siva.

The noise produced by the ladies bathing in the water in the morning. Those who praise Paṭṭicharam where Siva who adorns himself with holy ash as white as milk;
which is beautiful and has much greatness, in Mazhapāṭi, a suburb of Pazhaiyāṟai where in the evening there is fragrance in the streets where novelty is found in plenty.
will reign in the heaven, when in this world the riches that give superiority, increase like the big ocean which have no equals.

The Lord with  red matted locks, which has the fragrance of many flowers adorned by devotees and which is praised by Brahma and others as he saved the world from the floods of Ganga, by making it to become a small drop and made it stay in his matted locks,, that Gaṅga had its source in her hands when Uma closed his eyes and the sweat swelled into Ganga. This meaning of the first line is not clear as it should be.
Siva wore a crescent moon as white as milk and is able to dance appropriate to many measure of time, closely following music.

Arunachala Siva.
those who reach paṭṭicaram as their support which is maḻapāṭi which has no equal in this world.
it is certainly easy for them to be one with the celestials who do not wink and who live in heaven they will live in the Civalōkam which is superior to that.

When people make a big noise in the festivals conducted with festivities in Mazhapāṭi where suitable Muzhavu is placed on a high pitch.  Siva who has a spreading golden matted locks and who dwells with desire in Paṭṭiswaram where the seasonal rains that pour on mountains are the effect of the melody-types; fire is the form of the god who has a white bull, and who approached Uma to frighten her having covered himself with an elephant's skin to make all fear. All karmas will not approach those who have a mind to worship the feet of Siva.

The Bhutas sing musical compositions along with the sound of Vedas, standing near his feet. Those who praise according to rules the feet of the Lord whose appearance is permanent having received the water in single matted locks which is along, with the very cool crescent moon, and who is in Paṭṭiswaram where he dances with desire when the sound of the musical instruments made of leather is increasing, have completely no karmas which cause suffering.

Being free from the sufferings of birth, the diseases and old age which one is liable to in that body, will have the greatness of being welcomed and received by the residents of heaven, those who rise from sleep praising Paṭṭiswaram where Siva dwells and which has the greatness of all beautiful things gathering together in one place and where the devotees who are inclined towards renunciation stay in the streets in which flags are hoisted, without even the smallest trace of their karmas, are those who never forget worshipping him with flowers from which honey flows, and with songs of praise.

As soon as the demon removed the mountain in which Siva was sitting, as he had physical strength being fond of conquering all the rulers of the directions, one who adorns his head with a crescent moon, and whose limit and state could not be known by other, and who destroyed the strength of the low person Ravanan. Those who wake up from sleep praising Paṭṭiswaram where Siva dwells, being without the slight trace of their karmas, as they desire knowledge of Siva as they wish not to be born and die, it is easy for them to reach the heaven of the immortals.

Brahma who is seated in a spotless lotus flower, and the tall Vishnu do not know his origin. Who can know the different states of his origin? If one praises both the feet of Siva reaching Paṭṭiswaram where he who smears his beautiful chest completely with good holy ash, the upper world with many good things will be easy to attain.

Taking under the arms mats to sit on, without wishing to hear the roaring words the Jains who apply a thick coating of gall-nut powder made into a paste, with eating the balls of boiled rice served by ladies, in Pazhayāṟai where a suburb by name Mazhapāṭi which existed since a long time and which has fields, which abound in carp fish in the small sluices which have fragrance. If one praise Paṭṭiswaram of Siva who holds a trident suited to his hand, the fruit of that act is to get rid of the grip of the karmas.

With the verses done in chaste and beautiful Tamizh by Jnana Sambandhan, a native of Pukazhi where beautiful and merciful Brahmins live, the karmas of the devotees who can recite these in such a way as to please the ear, will not remain with them.

Tiruth Thevur:

Verse  1:

The cremation ground is the abode where Siva stays, the skull with the stench of flesh is his ornament, the mendicant's bowl with the stench of flesh is his vessel for receiving alms the tiger's skin is the dress that covers the waist, his food is the alms that he procures the perfect shrine of the Brahmin who has the above-mentioned form when the peacocks are dancing and the bees hum like music the white species of Malabar glory lily seem to applaud loudly by clapping hands. It is Thevur where the mansions are close to each other and the female swan of beauty and increasing gracefulness is sulky with its male and feels happy as the sulkiness is removed by pacifying it swans are kept as pet-birds by wealthy people in their mansions.

The place of superior Siva on whose shining red matted locks, the cobra which has the nature of killing, Koṉṟai flowers, laughing white skull, Yarcum flowers, leaves of Indian Mesquit, and flower resembling in color and form the feather of a crane, are flourishing. He is in  Thēvūr where the balmy southern breeze fills all the streets, which adds its smell to the fragrance of saffron of the young ladies whose breasts the cupid torments, and is like the sting of the scorpion to them.

Siva who has on his half Uma, the daughter of the mountain who is like a tender creepers and speaks words like melodies played on the lute.  The Lord who admits us as his slaves. The place where he whose feet are worshipped by esteemed celestial beings, dwells with pleasure.  It is Tēvūr where the mansions which are close to each other and where the goddess of wealth flourishes as she is pleased in her mind
and they gently stroke the sky, are full of fragrance as they bathe in the honey that drops from the gardens which stroke the sky and wears on its top flowers shed by the gardens.

Siva holds in his hand a young deer that lives in the forest, covers himself with the skin of an elephant. He dances in the fire at the end of the world. The place of the chief of the Devas who do not wink, on whose chest the hog's tusk, the shell of the tortoise and a young cobra are resting. He is in Tevūr where mango-trees which touch the sky, young plaintains, pointed-leaved ape flowers trees, common delight of the woods, jack fruit are in a flourishing condition, the bees with lines on their bodies drink the nectar of honey which flow from them and come singing Maruḷ, a secondary melody-type of the Kuṟinchi class.
