Siva has on one half a lady as his wife.  He has adorned his golden and wet matted locks, with a suitable crescent moon.  The irresistible Karmas of those who bow with love before the god in Aṉaikka who adorned his chest with a garland and of pearls.

Arunachala Siva.

அண்ணல்கண்ணொர் மூன்றினா னானைக்காவு கைதொழ

Siva who bathed in the powder of white holy ash and who has a big bull which is valorous and can travel in the sky, holds in his hand a trident. To those who can meditate upon, and can worship with joined hands, Aṉaikkarū belonging to the god who has three eyes, there will not be the slightest blemish.

People who wish that cruel sins should leave you! Siva who has a black neck and a fame for accepting people as his protege, who has the nature of dancing with desire in the hot fire.  You reach Aṉaikkā that blossomed with Konrai, in the early morning to be plucked, are closely placed.

Wisdom which is the cause for feeling bashful.  Wealth that is the support of everyone.
The fame that produces joy which is the foremost wish for everybody.  The valor that is awe inspiring, all good things.  Wealth which is the cause for not minding anyone.
Siva who has the nature of being praised for these six attributes, who is the god in Aṉaikka who is both male and female.  Is he not the one who has a black neck and three eyes which posses the power of seeing things?

Arunachala Siva.

The able devotees gathering together in the evening dense darkness, noon and morning is also included as the other two parts of the day are mentioned, Siva who has the nature of being spoken about his names, places, and wealth of grace,
people of this world!  Reach Aṉaikkā of Siva who bore one his red matted locks the water of Ganga which came rushing, to be worshipped by the people of this world and the celestial beings along with a garland of precious stones.

Those who are capable of singing the four Vēdas, which are capable of praising god in Aṉaikkā which has ghats in which swans live in large flock and has swarms of bees which feed upon the pollen in the lotus flower in which the goddess of wealth is seated, and those who can meditate upon the strong feet, are capable of attaining eternal bliss.

Siva has the nature of being spoken by his devotees eating meat is god and eating meat is bad, with love.  (The first refers to the worship by Kaṇṇappar in Kāḷahasti, and the second Sivakōchariyār in the same shrine; Kaṇṇappar being a hunter offered well-roasted meat;)  He bore on his head a crescent moon of a single phase that is in the sky.  People of the world!  Reach Aṉaikkā of Siva who, having stood permanently as the truth, bathed in all the five products of the cow.

The Jains who are like the stakes for impaling criminals, who eat the powder of gall-nut, and who are low persons eating food in their hands.  And the Buddhists, liars, who cover their bodies are not capable of knowing the religion of the Vedas, Siva who has a young lady as a half and has a body like fire. People of this world!
Reach Aṉaikkā surrounded by a natural tank where our master resides with desire.

About the god in Aṉaikkā whom Brahma who does the functions of creation of living beings in every eon and Vishnu who has a discus, were not capable of seeing.
The irresistible karmas of those who learn these ten verses as giving a new life which were composed with a purpose by Jnana Sambandhan, of Sirkazhi, will vanish.
(There is no reference to Ravana in the 8th verses as usual and the anecdote about Vishnu and Brahma, which is usually found in the 9th verse is mentioned in the last verse which is called according to Saivaite tradition, Tirukkaṭaikkāppu!)

Padigam on Tiru Anaikka completed.

Arunachala Siva.

Verse  1:

வாழ்க அந்தணர் வானவ ரானினம்
வீழ்க தண்புனல் வேந்தனு மோங்குக
ஆழ்க தீயதெல் லாமர னாமமே
சூழ்க வையக முந்துயர் தீர்கவே.

Let the brahmins, celestial beings and the herd of cows live long.  Let the cool water pour from the clouds. Let the king become exalted. Let all the evils fall down.
Let the name of Siva surround the world.  Let the world also be free from sufferings on account of that.

Arunachala Siva.

Though Siva is difficult to be seen by those who do not have love, He will appear before sincere devotees in a form, he will have in his palm fire; will ride with joy on a bull, his neck too is black. He is great, though he dwells in the cremation ground.
Who can know his true nature?

Smearing himself with a well-burnt ash as he would smear sandal mixed with perfumes, Siva has no father and mother.  He will remove the sins of those who wake up thinking of him only.  What is the manner of our father!

(From this verse the second variety of metre begins.)
If anyone questions about the manner in which the first cause of all things, Siva, grants his grace and [about] his many attributes and greatness; they are innumerable.  We need not dilate upon that bowing your heads to the feet of our father. Approaching him, let those who are fit to receive his grace listen to them so that sufferings which cause pain, and sins which come as the cause of those.

You need not investigate Siva by statement of reason and by words which are used as illustrations.  Our light divine is brilliant both inside and outside.  You live meditating on that light; people who want to be rid of great sufferings!  People who are abounding in virtues!  Approach him at least for a moment!

Wise men say that Siva dances, kicks the god of death who is difficult to be warded off and sings the Vēdas. Are these acts done by Siva to attain fame or to save souls?
If one investigates, what is the use of fame to him?  If you question that he completely roots out the sufferings and births as the sins leave the souls,
can you establish that there is any other idea except his grace which he bestows without any ulterior motive?

Arunachala Siva.
