The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Navukkarasar, on Siva,
in the temple of Tiruk Kazhip Paalai.  This is in 5.040 of Saiva Canon.

The location of the temple, the names of Siva and Uma, the holy tree, the holy tirtham -
all these details have been given in the first Padigam on Tiruk Kazhip Paalai, see this serial post
elsewhere.

This girl has not gone and seen the lord`s color and form. She has not attained peace of mind by
meditating upon Him and chanting His names.  She is not content with the twin acts of meditation and chanting of His names only.  The exalted one is in Tiruk Kazhippalai  which is surrounded by spacious
gardens can only know this daughter`s nature.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Navukkarasar, on Siva,
in the temple of Tiru Nallam.  This is in Saiva Canon 5.043.

This temple is in Kumbakonam taluk, Thanjavur district.  One can go by bus from Thanjavur or

Ignorant people!  When the messengers of the god of death come to take away your lives, what is that which people in the house, wife and sons can do to prevent it?  Siva in Tiru Nallam, will ward off your sufferings
and they will cease if you are capable of praising the feet of one who has us as His protege.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Navukkarasar, on Siva,
in the temple of Tiru Aamathur.  This is in Saiva Canon 5.044.

This temple is in Villupuram taluk, Villupuram district. One can go to Villupuram and from there
go by bus to reach the temple.

Siva -  Azhagiya Nathar.

Uma - Muthaar Nakai Amman, one who smiles and has got pearl like teeth.

Holy tree - Vanni tree.

Holy tirtham  -  Pampai river.

Vishnu and Brahma,  who were great arrogant gods could not find out the Feet  of Siva and His Head by
their own efforts without the grace of Siva.  They saw Siva saying many times: Hara, (Siva) in Tiru Aamathur!
Grant us your grace filled with excessive joy.

Arunachala Siva.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Navukkarasar, on Siva,
in the temple of Tiruth ThONipuram, another name for Sirkazhi.  This is in 5.045 of Saiva Canon.

The location of the temple, the names of Siva and Uma and the holy tree and the holy tirtham --
all these have been given in the first Padigam on Tiruth ThONipuram (Sirkazhi), see my serial

If I say, 'Stay in the house, possessing the qualities of womanhood,'  she asks, 'Who are you to advise
me the right conduct?'.  My young daughter, says, I would become the maid-servant of the effulgent
Lord in Tiruth ThONipuram (Sirkazhi)!

This is as said by the mother to her young daughter.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Navukklarasar, on Siva,
in the temple of Tirup Pugalur.  This is in 5.046 of Saiva Canon.

This temple is in Nagappattinam taluk, Nagappattinam district.  One can go by bus from
Nagappattinam or Kumbakonam.

Siva - Vardhamaneswarar.

Uma - Karunthaazh Kuzhali, the One who has got black, low falling tresses of hair.

Holy tree   Punnai tree.

Holy tirtham - Agni tirtham, a tank.

Siva,  in Pugalur, has matted locks,  which is gold which has bloomed like a flower. He  smears fine
powder of white sacred ash and dresses in a stitched loin-cloth!  With what purpose did you keep
along with a cobra, a white crescent moon, which is like a glittering lightning?

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Navukkarasar, on Siva,
in the temple of Tiru Ekambam, (Kanchipuram). This is in 5.047 of Saiva Canon.

The location of the temple, the names of Siva and Uma, the holy tree, the holy tirtham -- all

My mind!  You rejoice experiencing the fruits of the deeds of the former births, many times,
you wander as the slave of the Lord in Tiru Ekambam who has red matted locks, which wears flowers
on which bees fly to and fro. Your sufferings to be removed.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Navukkarasar, on
Siva, in the temple of Tiru Ekambam, Kanchipuram. This is in 5.048 of Saiva Canon.

The Lord who assumed the form of a huge column  of  fire to make Brahma, who is seated on a flower
and Vishnu,  the husband of the goddess of wealth who is seated on a lotus flower, to tremble with
fear and not to think that we alone are the supreme celestial beings. O the Lord in Tiru Ekambam, should
we, who are your devotees, undergo sufferings?

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Navukkarasar, on Siva,
in the temple of Tiru VeNkaadu. This is in 5.049 of Saiva Canon.

This temple is in Sirkazhi taluk,  Nagappattinam district. One can go by bus from Nagappattinam,
or Sirkazhi or Thanjavur.

Siva - Tiru VeNkaadar, Svetha Aranyeswarar.

Uma - Brahma Veda Vidyambika.

Holy tree - Banyan tree, Peepul tree.  two trees.

Holy tirtham - Soorya, Agni and Chandra tirtham - three tanks.

This is the birth place of Mey Kanda Devar, the author of Sivajnana Sutras.

O my ignorant mind!  Having bestowed on the devotees in this world who have learnt about Him
and worshiped Him,  producing music, benign looks, this Lord Siva, can be compared to the apple
of the eye. He is having the lady goddess on the left half of His form.  Have yourself redeemed by
reaching Tiruvenkadu,  of the Lord who placed the crescent moon on His head.

Arunachala Siva.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tirunavukkarasar, on Siva,
in the temple of Tiru Vaaimoor.  This is in 5.050 of Saiva Canon.

This temple is in Tiruvarur taluk, Tiruvarur district.  One can go by bus from Tiruvarur town
or from Kumbakonam.

Siva - Vaimoor Nathar.

Uma - Paalinum Then Mozhiyaal, one who has got words sweet as milk and honey.

Holy tree - Jackfruit tree.

Holy tirtham - Soorya tirtham, a tank.

When Tiru Jnana Sambandhar and Tiru Navukkarasar went to this temple, they could not see the
Lord Siva.  Tiru Navukkarasar then said: The child Jnana Sambandhar has come.   Please show
your form. Then, Siva appeared in the sanctum.

Siva in Tiru Vaimoor,  where coconut trees are conspicuously visible from a distance.  Searching for the
place where I was, inquiring where it was and finding it,  you told me about His marks of distinction
out of grace and asked me to come there.  He went ordering me, "you come there",
what is the reason for that?

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Navukkarasar, on Siva,
in the temple of  Tirup Palaithurai.  This is in 5.051 of Saiva Canon.

This temple is in Papanasam taluk, Thanjavur district.  One can go by bus from Papanasam or
Thanjavur.

Siva - Palaivana Nathar.

Uma - ThavaL veNNakaiyaal, one who has got white teeth, with which she smiles, like the thavalam flower.

Holy tree - Bhilva tree.

Holy tirtham -  Kaveri river.

This is the place where Siva skinned the tiger sent by Daruka forest rishis and wore the skin as
His lower cloth.

Siva has a neck like the blue sapphire united on His long matted locks, with the beautiful crescent
moon and Ganga,  holding a trident, deer and a battle-axe.  The God in Tirup Palaithurai, will bathe
in milk and ghee on His shining head.

Siva in Tiru Nageswaram,  is good God.  He will cause the good cobra to dance, holding it in His hand.
He is capable of administering remedies that can remove the irresistible karmas.  He isholding a toothless
skull.  He is a person having wealth of grace, but He will  wander for alms.

Wearing a curved and big crescent moon, though desiring a life without shame wearing a men's loin
cloth.  Siva is the refuge for all benefits.  Among music of several instruments he practices on
Veena. Unless I visit and see His Tiru Adigai Veerasthanam, will my eyes get sleep?

Those who approach the feet of Veerasthanar, on the bank of the river Kedliam, who is as sweet
as the jaggery mixed with honey.  Who lay fragrant flowers at His red lotus feet with eight varieties
of flowers blossomed at day-break, their acts, good and bad, will perish.

The eight flowers are: ?   1 mast woodtree ?   2 white yarcum ?   3 Champak ?   4 east indian rosebay ?
5.  yellow-flowered fragrant trumpet flowers, ?   6 blue nelumbo flowers, ?   7 oleandar, ?   8 red lotus.

Arunachala Siva.
The eight virtues which are considered equal to flowers for mental worship are the following: ?   1 non-killing, ?   2 control of the five senses, ?   3 patience, ?   4 grace, ?   5 knowledge, ?   6 truthfulness, ?   7 penance, ?   8 love.
