The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Navukkarasar, as a general
Padigam, titled  "Thanith Tiru Ner Isai," a type of meter. This is in 4.075 of Saiva Canon.

Adorning Siva, with a liquid of thick consistency containing saffron, after bathing Him with good water from the pure Kaveri, chanting Mantras of the Vedas and looking forward at Him with a circlet of flowers is the correct worship.
What a pity I wasted away time without having a vision of the Lord of the universe, our Master and Warrior.
What is the gain that I, His servant, obtained?  Nothing.

Arunachala Siva.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Navukkarasar as a general
Padigam, titled 'Thanith Tiru Nerisai' , a type of meter.  This is in 4.076 of Saiva Canon.

I who had no disenchantment, was confused having a mind filled with ignorance and hankering after worldly pleasure.
Without desiring the grace which is the protection afforded by the twin feet of our Father who  destroys ignorance and desires, I remained. For me who feared and reeled in my mind, He gave me the desire for real things, the night
passed off and the day dawned.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Navukkarasar on Siva, as a

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Navukkarasar on Siva,
as a general Padigam, titled ''Kuraintha Ner Isai'.  It is in Saiva Canon 4.079:

To preserve the chastity of women, sinking low into their tricks, I am living. O,  Siva, who is the Father, the nectar, the
cause of all things, and our Lord, who is united with my mind and who has a beautiful body which has the color of
the evening red sky, I am incapable of meditating on You.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Navukkarasar, on Siva,
in the temple of Koil, Chidambaram. This is called Koil Tiru Virutham. This is in 4.080 of Saiva Canon.

The temple is in Chidmbaram town, in Chidmabaram taluk,  in Cuddalore district.  One can reach by bus from
Thanjavur, Mayiladuthurai,Chennai and Puducherry.

I propose to give all the ten verses with English meanings.

Siva - Adi Moola Narthar, Ananda Natarajar.

Uma - Sivakama Valli.

Holy tree - Tillai tree, Karpaga tree.

Holy tirtham -  Sivaganga, a tank.

Verse 1 of Koil Tiruvirutham:

In Tillai (Chidmbaram),  where there are cultivated fields on whose ridges the water with vaḷai scabbard fish
dashes in every place, and has stories, close to each other, and where the areca-nut palms with spathes grow tall.
If one sees the dance of Hara, Siva,  in Chitrambalam,  who has feet that can receive devotees as protege.
What is there to see after that for the devotees who wander like goblins, with their impure eyes secreting rheum?

Verse 2 of Koil Tiruvirutham.  Saiva Canon 4.080.

The embodiment of virtuous deeds, who has a fighting bull and He wears a tiger`s skin. He is the husband of the
daughter of the Mountain,  Himavan, who has a beautiful form.  He is in Chitrambalam, ( Tillai ), where the wealthy brahmins in the whole world live. (Brahmins refers to the three-thousand dikshitars who worship Nataraja,) by turns.
What is there to see hereafter, with the eyes, that saw the holy feet of Siva?

Verse 3 of Koil Tiruvirutham, Saiva Canon 4.080.

Worshipping with garlands, sandal paste, incense, one should pray to Him.   His real nature could not be understood
by Brahma and Vishnu, who bow to Him always being very close to Him.  Having smeared Himself with sacred ashes,
the Lord of Chitrambalam, is in Tillai whose color is like gold. Is there anything else to see with the eyes after seeing
the rich attire He has worn on the waist for dancing?

Arunachala Siva.

Verse 4 of Koil Tiruvirutham, Saiva Canon 4.080.

Thinking that the money we kept by saving, would be helpful to us later, I got rid of fear by chanting the name of Namasivaya, as my money kept for saving.  He is the one who is called Pithan, (mad fellow), who dances in the Chitrambalam, of beautiful Tillai.  He is the one who is not born.  He has got the name of Nandi. ( Nandi is also the
name of Siva.  Tirumoolar calls Him Nandi). If one could see the beauty of the girdle fastened tightly over the navel,
what is there to be seen after, with these eyes?

The Lord of Chitrambalam,  is in Tillai where the blue nelumbo flowers flowers growing in fields, blossom.
The daughter of the Mountain, Himavan, of bright eyes in which colliriyum stays permanently, sees and enjoys the
dance.  He is the one who has a beautiful neck like sapphire, which is also like the flame in a hollow earthern lamp which burns with ghee as oil.  If one sees the dance with a hand pose, what is there to see after with the eyes?

After removing my defects, to the knowledge of the world, He is the one who received me as His protege to be
known to all people of this world. ( This is a hint that Siva, reclaimed Navukkarasar, from Jainism.)   He is a sweet
as honey to me. He is the one who is in Chitrambalam of Tillai.  If one sees the tusk of the wild hog which shines
near His neck, that drank the strong poison so that the celestial beings may be saved from death. What else is to
be seen after that, with these eyes?

holy feet",  He drank the poison which rose from the milky ocean.  He opened his third eye and destroyed with anger Manamthan,  with the fire born in that eye.  He is  in mount Kailash, and He is the one who resides in Chitrambalam,

The demon Ravana,  with excessive pride thinking only about the strength of his shoulders to roar having held up
the big Mountain Kailash, with his hands resembling mountains,  the husband of the daughter of the Mountain,
Himavanm having smiled, and one who is in Chitrambalam, of beautiful Tillai, with the eyes which have seen, His toes squeezed and trampled all the beautiful ten heads.  What is there to be seen?

The ten verses of Koil Tiruvirutham - completed.
