The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva,
in the temple of Brahmapuam, another name for Sikazhi.  This is in 3.067 of Saiva Canon.

The location of the temple, the names of Siva and Uma, the holy tree, the holy tirtham -- all these details
have been given in the first Padigam on Sirkazhi, see elsewhere in this serial post.

To grant boon to him with the words found in the upanishads which are full of meaning and chanted in the traditional
way and being in an order, Brahmapuram, which prospers by its fame as Brahma, adored the beautiful feet of the
exalted Hara (Siva), as the world of the celestial beings and this world in which there are human beings which have
lost their might.  The three cities which have the protection of the wall of enclosure were set ablaze by Him.  This
is the place of the Supreme God who has in His hand, an arrow of high speed by which the fire spread everywhere.
This verse gives the reason for Srikazhi, getting the name of Brahmapuram.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva
in Tiruk Kailayam, (Sri Kailash). This is 3.068 of Saiva Canon.

About Kailash, the details have already been given in the first Padigam, see elsewhere in this serial post.

Siva rejoices always as the skin of the tiger which has bright stripes and is capable of killing. If one touches
His feet. He admits such people as His protege and they will be without sin.  He is cherished with love by all.
He subdued the elephant which is capable of killing and which can split the opposing beasts with its tusks.
He is the God who carries on His shoulders a superior bow. He is the Chief who dances to the measure of time
kept by the proud ghosts. He smears Himself with shining sacred ash. With the peaks rending the darkness
caused by the sable clouds, He is in His Kailamalai, the mountain of Kailash, which emits rays of silver in its
foot portion.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva,
in the temple of Mayiladuthurai. This is in 3.070 of Saiva Canon.

The location of the temple, the names of Siva, Uma, the holy tree, the holy tirtham -- all these details

Mayiladuthurai, is the place, where smoke that is produced by the oblations in the consecrated fire offered by
brahmins of established fame, rises above and cover to create darkness in the gardens in heaven. He is having
the appearance of a youth, adorning Himself with a hog`s tusk, dancing cobra, bones, shell of a tortoise, which
has lines. These can be said to be the rightful possession of Siva, who has a spreading matted locks, and has the
skin of a long tiger with stripes, that lives in the forest.

in the temple of Tiru Vaikavoor. This is in 3.071 of Saiva Canon.

This temple is in Kumbakonam taluk, Thanjavur district. One can go by bus from Kumbakonam or Thanjavur.

Siva - Vilva Vaneswarar..

Uma - Valaikkai Nayaki, one who wear nice bangles.

Holy tree - Bhilva tree.

Though it is a throat choked with phlegm though the devotees may not sing slowly so as to understand the
meanings of the poems, devotees who are not endowed with much intelligence. This is the place of Siva, who
rejoices in the words of the poems combined with music which they are capable of, and sung out of love whatever
defect there might be. When the tender coconut matures into a seed falls on the areca trees and scatters the
rows of cluster of areca-nuts, the plaintain fruits which shed and fall and get soaked. This is Vaikavil, Vaikavoor,
in which the fields are full of mire of plaintain fruits.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva,
in the temple of Tiru Maakaral.  This is in 3.072 of Saiva Canon.

This temple is in Kanchipuram taluk, Kanchipuram district. One can go by bus from Kanchipuram town,
to reach the temple.

Siva - Adaikkalam Kaatha Nathar.

Uma - Bhuvana Nayaki.

Holy tree - Lime tree.

Holy tirtham - Seyaaru, a river, Agni tirtham, a tank.

Siva who is in Maakaral, which has long gardens, and many mansions which have long flags and clouds and the
sound of the sport and singing of the lowest caste women working in the agricultural tracts in the fields which
produce abundant crops. He who has red matted locks, on which He wears a waxing crescent, Ganga and konrai
flowers, which spread fragrance.  The sins of those who approach the feet of Siva who has a bull of red eyes will
at once leave them.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva,
in the temple of Tirup Patteeswaram.  This is in 3.073 of Saiva Canon.

This temple is in Kumbakonam taluk, Thanjavur district.  One can go by bus from Kumbakonam or Thanjavur
to reach this temple.

This temple along with Mazhapadi which is in suburb, are mentioned in the verse.

Siva - Patteeswarar.

Uma -PalvaLai Nayaki, one who wears many bangles.

Holy tree - Vanni tree.

Holy tirtham -  Jnana tirtham.

Patti the daughter of Kamadenu is said to have prayed to Siva here.  Tiru Jnana Sambandhar  received a
pearl palanquin from Siva here.  The bull which is usually in front of Siva, has moved a little away, to enable
the child saint Jnana Sambandhar to have darshan of Siva without any obstacle. Sri Rama is said to have
prayed to Siva to have his brahma hatti (sin of killing a brahmin, Ravana) defect removed here.  This
place was called Pazhaiyaarai in the olden days and Pazhayaarai was the capital of Chozha Kings.

What Siva sings is Veda, what he adorns on His head is the crescent moon. He has as  half the lady goddess,
wearing many bangles. Having set fire to the three forts with a single arrow, simultaneously exhibiting the beauty
of His valor, He stays here. Though Siva had made all preparations for a fight, He burnt the three cities by His smile
to snub the pride of the devas, who thought that without their help, Siva could not do anything. He is in
Pazhayaarai,  surrounded by gardens which afford shade from sun. Siva who ties a cobra in His waist and dwells
in the suburb, Mazhapadi, which has storeyed buildings, is the God who destroys lives, showing the path to liberation
to those who are steadfast in the right path suited to their external appearance.

Arunachala Siva.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva,
in the temple of Tiruth Thevur. This is in 3.074 of Saiva Canon.

The location of the temple, the names of Siva and Uma, the holy tree and the holy tirtham -- all these details

The cremation ground is the abode where Siva stays. The skull with the stench of flesh is His ornament. The
mendicant`s bowl with the stench of flesh is His vessel for receiving alms.  The tiger`s skin is the dress that
covers the waist. His food is the alms that He procures.  The perfect shrine of the brahmin who has the above-
mentioned form, where the peacocks are dancing and the bees hum like music, the white species of malabar
glory lily seem to applaud loudly by clapping hands, is Tevur, where the mansions are close to each other and
the female swan of beauty and increasing gracefulness is sulky with its male and feels happy as the sulkiness
is removed by pacifying it.  Swans are kept as pet-birds by wealthy people in their mansions.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva,
in the temple of Tiru Vedigudi. This is in 3.078 of Saiva Canon.

This temple is in Tiruvaiyaru taluk, Thanjavur District.  One can go by bus from Thanjavur to reach the temple.

Siva - Vedapureeswarar..

Uma - Mangaiyarkarasi.

Holy tree - Bhilva tree.

Vedas are said to have prayed to Siva here.

As the areca-palm which unfolds its spathe and abundant plantain trees spread their fragrance and the pairs
of scabbard fish without separation from each other play in the deep pool,  Vedikudi has fertile fields.
Siva who wears sacred ash, dancing cobra with lines, tortoise shell, pearl beads and garlands of bones,
who rides on a bull, is  in this place.  He is the origin of all things, and they worship His feet and dwells.,

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar, on Siva,
in the temple of Gokarnam. This is in 3.079 of Saiva Canon.

The temple is in Gokarnam taluk, Uttara Kannada district, Karnataka. One can go by bus from Bangalore
city.

Siva - Mahabali Nathar.

Uma -  Gokarna Nayaki.

Holy tree - Bhilva tree.

Holy tirtham - Kodi tirtham.

When Ravana got a Lingam, he came on his way to Lanka, to this place. He placed the Lingam on this spot
and went for bath. Due to Ganesa's will, he could not take out the Lingam from this place again. He tried
to dlslodge it from the place by pulling the top of the Lingam. Hence the Lingam has got a bent top like
a cow's ears.  (Go =Cow; karna = ears).

Siva is difficult to be known to others who are not His devotees. He is the big light within me. The division
of Tamizh poetry or prose, conforming to the rules of Tamizh grammar and Tamizh poetry composed to suit the several melody-types and time measures, are sung here to Him by devotees. This is the place which the God who has
matted locks, coiled into a crown glittering like superior gold, remains. This is Gokarnam, where the blossomed
gardens are close to each other and hills are close to each other and the loud sound of the celestial beings, who praise joining with devotees of concentrated minds, fills the whole place.

of increasing beauty where the white colored mansions which abound in wealth and on which clouds settle.
