The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva,
in the temple of Sirkazhi. This is in 3.043 of Saiva Canon.

The location of the temple, the names of Siva and Uma, the holy tree, the holy tirtham -- all these details
have been given in the first Padigam on Sirkazhi, see elsewhere in this serial post.

He who has on His half the lady on whose breasts sandal-paste is smeared, is the one, who has wallowed in
well-burnt sacred white ash. The feet of my father who is in Sirkazhi, surrounded by parks full of fragrance, are
always in my mind.

Arunachala Siva.

The following verse and the Padigam, has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva,
in the temple of Tiruk Kazhippaalai.  This is in 3.044 of Saiva Canon.

The location of the temple, the names of Siva and Uma, the holy tree, the holy tirtham -- all these details

As the smoke of the burning Kunkiliyam resin to increase every where the Lord in Kazhippaalai, where the fragrance
is permanent and moving. The state of His composure desired by Him is of such a nature that His end and measure
cannot be known by anybody.

Arunachala Siva.

The following verse and the Padigam, has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva,
in the temple of Tiruvarur.  This is in 3.045 of Saiva Canon.

The location of the temple, the names of Siva and Uma, the holy tree, the holy tirtham -- all these details
have been given in the first Padigam of Tiruvarur, see elsewhere in this serial post.

Siva who is the efficient cause for the beginning and end of the worlds, the brahmin who smeared Himself with
the well-burnt white sacred ash, He entered into my mind; Will my Father, who is the Father also for all devotees
like me, accept me too as His slave?

Arunachala Siva.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva,
in the temple of Tiruk Karugavoor.  This is in 3.046 of Saiva Canon.

This temple is in Papanasam taluk in Thanjavur district. One can go by bus from Thanjavur. Or, one can
board the train that is in Thanjavur - Kumbakonam rail route, and get down at Ayyampettai station
and go to the temple from there in taxi or by bus.

Siva - Mullai Vana Nathar.

Uma - Garbha Rakshambika.

Holy tree - Mullai creeper, mullai is a type of jasmine.

Holy tirtham - Paal Kulam, (Milk Tank)

The goddess is said to be protecting the child in the pregnant woman and ensure safe delivery.

Causing Uma who has teeth shining like pearls tremble with fear, the God flayed the skin of a rutting elephant to
make it perturbeed, and covered Himself with it as a upper cloth, Our father in Karugaavoor, is like burning fire.

Arunachala Siva.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva,
in the temple of Tiru Aalavaail, (Madurai). This is in 3.047 of Saiva Canon.

The following verse and the Padigam has been sung by the saint in the temple of Sundareswarar, (Siva)
in Madurai, asking whether it is His Will that the saint should debate with Jains to win over them.

The location of the temple, the names of Siva and Uma, the holy tree, the holy tirtham -- all these details
have been given in the first Padigam, on Madurai, see elsewhere in this serial post.

O Siva, who has three eyes and who covers the body with the skin of a wild elephant, I respectfully represent
to you. Is it Your Will to drive away the lowly Jains who do not perform sacrifices with desire, by religious disputation
with them?

Arunachala Siva.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva,
in the temple of Tiru Mazhapadi.  This is in 3.048 of Saiva Canon.

The location of the temple, the names of Siva and Uma, the holy tree, the holy tirtham -- all these details,
have been given in the first Padigam on Tiru Mazhapadi, see elsewhere in this serial post.

Siva has an unbearable hot fire on His palm. He has the river Ganga on His matted locks, which is full of beauty.
He transcends all things. He has on His left side, the goddess, the lady of distinction. Those who worship with their
hands in Mazhapadi,  where He dwells, are leading a worthy life.

Arunachala Siva.

The following verse and the Padigam are of general nature, composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar,
on Siva, not specifically on any Siva temple. This is called Namasivaya Padigam, the Padigam which when chanted
by a person, confers all good things to him,  in the life and also liberation at the end. The chanting of the Mantra Namasivaya, daily, also confers all good things in life and liberation at the end.

This is in 3.049 of Saiva Canon.

I propose to give all the eleven verses and also the English meaning of each verse.

Verse 1:

With love growing in one's tender heart, with profuse tears rolling down one's cheeks, if this Mantram is recited,
the Mantram will confer him salvation. This is the essential truth dealt with in the four Vedas. Namasivaya which
is also the name of the Master, Siva.

Arunachala Siva.

Verse 2 of Namasivaya Padigam of Tiru Jnana Sambandhar:

நம்பு வாரவர் நாவி னவிற்றினால்
வம்பு நாண்மலர் வார்மது வொப்பது
செம்பொ னார்தில கம்முல குக்கெலாம்
நம்பன் நாமம் நமச்சி வாயவே.

Those who trust the Mantra, and cherish with love, if they recite without ceasing in their tongues, it is sweet like
the honey that pours from the fragrant flowers that unfolds its petals at day break. It is like the small circular mark
on the forehead of the whole world  of words. Namasivaya, is the name of Siva.

Arunachala Siva.

Verse 3 of Namasivaya Padigam of Tiru Jnana Sambandhar:

நெக்கு ளார்வ மிகப்பெரு கிந்நினைந்
தக்கு மாலைகொ டங்கையி லெண்ணுவார்
தக்க வானவ ராத்தகு விப்பது
நக்கன் நாமம் நமச்சி வாயவே.

The heart having melted with the love in the mind increasing and thinking of the Mantram, those who repeat
reciting having in their beautiful hands a garland of Rudraksha beads, makes them qualified to become fitting
a celestial being though they are not qualified to become so otherwise. Namasivaya is the name of Siva. who is naked.

Arunachala Siva.

Verse 4 of Namasivaya Padigam, of Tiru Jnana Sambandhar:

இயமன் றூதரு மஞ்சுவ ரின்சொலால்
நயம்வந் தோதவல் லார்தமை நண்ணினால்
நியமந் தானினை வார்க்கினி யானெற்றி
நயனன் நாமம் நமச்சி வாயவே.

The God who dispenses good things to those who meditate the Mantram as a daily routine, is Namasivaya, the name
of Siva who has a frontal eye. If people who do not recite the Mantram befriend with sweet words those great people
who recite that, even the messengers of the god of death will be afraid to go near them.

Arunachala Siva.

Verse 5 of Namasivaya Padigam of Tiru Jnana Sambandhar:

கொல்வா ரேனுங் குணம்பல நன்மைகள்
இல்லா ரேனு மியம்புவ ராயிடின்
எல்லாத் தீங்கையு நீங்குவ ரென்பரால்
நல்லார் நாமம் நமச்சி வாயவே.

Though people kill living beings, and though they have no good character and many good conduct,
the Name Namasivaya of the God, who dispenses auspicious things, if they recite the Mantram, will be
free from all the evils.

Arunachala Siva.

Verse 6 of Namasivaya Padigam of Tiru Jnana Sambandhar:

மந்த ரம்மன பாவங்கள் மேவிய
பந்த னையவர் தாமும் பகர்வரேல்
சிந்தும் வல்வினை செல்வமும் மல்குமால்
நந்தி நாமம் நமச்சி வாயவே.

If even those people,  who are bound by bondage which are the result of sins and which are great as the
mountain Mantaram, if they recite the Namasivaya, the name of Nandi Siva. that Mantram will destroy the
irresistible acts and wealth will also increase.

Arunachala Siva.

Verse 7 of Namasivaya Padigam of Tiru Jnana Sambandhar:

நரக மேழ்புக நாடின ராயினும்
உரைசெய் வாயின ராயி னுருத்திரர்
விரவி யேபுகு வித்திடு மென்பரால்
வரதன் நாமம் நமச்சி வாயவே.

Though people have committed sins to be cast into all the seven hells, Namasivaya, the name of the boon bestower,
Siva,  if they recite with their mouth will avoid such suffering prospects.  People of spiritual wisdom say that the
Mantram will cause them to mix with the retinue of Rudra.

Verse 8 of Namasivaya Padigam of Tiru Jnana Sambandhar:

இலங்கை மன்ன னெடுத்த வடுக்கன்மேல்
தலங்கொள் கால்விரல் சங்கர னூன்றலும்
மலங்கி வாய்மொழி செய்தவ னுய்வகை
நலங்கொள் நாமம் நமச்சி வாயவே.

Namasivaya,  the name which has many good things, when the dispenser of auspicious things who had mountain
Kailash, which was lifted by the king of Lanka, Ravana, as His shrine, fixed His toe on it, granted the manner of
saving him from death, who sang the Vedas, the eternal truth, being confounded.

Brahma,  who is in a lotus flower and Vishnu,  who has eyes like the lotus, making efforts to search and find out
the feet and head of the Chief, Namasivaya,  is the name of Siva, which they chanted being in distress as they
could not see anything.
