The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva,
in the temple of Tiru Brahmapuram, another name for Sirkazhi.  This is in 3.037 Saiva Canon.

The location of the temple, the names of Siva and Uma, the holy tree, the holy tirtham -- all these details
have been given in the first Padigam on Sirkazhi, see elsewhere in this serial post.

always. Wishing for the grace of the destroyer who dwells in Brahmapuram, praise the Lord, with thought, word and

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva,
in the temple of Tiruk Kandiyoor (Veerasthanam). This is in 3.038 of Saiva Canon.

This temple is in Tiruvaiuyaaru taluk, Thanjavur district. One can go by bus or taxi from Thanjavur.
This is one of the eight places of heroic sports of Siva, ashta veerasthanams. Here Siva snapped one of
the heads of Brahma. The place is also one of the saptasthanams. i.e. 7 places of Siva, in and around
Tiruvaiyaru. Festivals take place where Siva from Tiruvaiyaru temple goes to each place and with the
Siva of that temple further. Likewise Siva with six other Siva idols come back to Tiruvaiyaru in the night.

Siva - Veerasthaneswarar.

Uma - Mangala Nayaki.

Holy tree - Bhilva tree.

Holy tirtham - Kapala, Brahma and  Daksha tirthams,  three tanks.

Devotees who desire the grace of Siva! I questioned you as I do not know the reason.
You reply to me. Siva who is Kandiyur Veerasthanam, on the bank of the Kaveri river of rushing water,
when His devotees are ruling over the heavens. is it due to the fact that He has no ancestral property and so
is living in the forest singing and dancing begged a large quantity of alms in this world?

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva,
in the temple of Tiru Aalavai, (Madurai).  This is in 3.039 of Saiva Canon.

The location of the temple, the names of Siva and Uma, the holy tree, the holy tirtham -- all these
details have been given in the first Padigam on Madurai, see elsewhere in this serial post.

This Padigam has been sung when the Pandyan Queen Mangayarkarasi on see the young saint Tiru Jnana
Sambandhar exclaimed: O He is a young boy. The Jains are stout and grown up. How can He withstand
the abrasive nature of Jain monks?' Tiru Jnana Sambandhar replied with these verses.

O Lady who has eyes that are comparable to the startled eyes of the deer!, the great chief queen of the Vazhuthi!
Listen to what I say. Do not feel distressed that I am such a young boy from whose mouth milk is flowing.
When the God in Tiru Aalavai,  stands by my side as help, I can not be easily defeated by the low people who inflict
many sufferings on others and who live in hills beginning with great Aanamalai.

* Vazhuthi is the surname of some of the Pandyan Kings.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar as a
general Padigam. This is called Tiru IrukkuvikkuraL.  This is in 3.40 of Saiva Canon.

I propose to give the entire Padigam with two verses under each post, with English meaning.

Good people will not cherish with love other gods who are not sitting under the shade of the great banyan tree.
We too would not do so.

We would not consider great any other thing except the God who wears flowers of konrai.

Arunachala Siva.

Verses 3 and 4 of Tiru IrukkuvikkuraL:-

Siva will not stay in the minds of those who do not meditate on Him without ceasing. We will not join the company
of those who do not chant His Mantram singing His praises.

Those who praise Siva who smears himself with sacred ash and kicked the God of death are really fit to be called
having attained the benefit of being born as human beings.

Those who enjoy establishing Siva in their hearts who dwells in the songs of devotees and who dances in the
cremation ground, are really fit to be called wealthy people.

We are very near to the superior Siva who destroyed the falsehood of the sacrifice of Daksha.

Brahma who is in a lotus flower and Vishnu, who measured the world had pain in their tongues also as they
could not praise Siva to their satisfaction.

We have given up listening to the words of the heretics who are Jains of big bodies and Buddhists who are destined to suffer.

Those who meditated on the words of Jnana Sambandha, of cool and beautiful Sirkazhi have saved themselves.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar, inTiruk Kacchi
Ekambam, that is,  Kanchipuram. This is in 3.041 of Saiva Canon.

The location of the temple, the names of Siva and Uma, the holy tree and the holy tirtham -- all these
details have been given in the first Padigam on Kanchipuram, see elsewhere in this serial post.

This is also in the meter of Tiru IrukkuvikkuraL. I propose to give all the eleven verses in this Padigam with
English meanings.

If one praises Siva as the unequaled Lord in Tiru Ekambam, , in Kanchipuram,  which is the embryo for all things.
the karma effects will not come near him.

If people praise Ekambam, on the bank of the river, Kampa in Kanchipuram,  of high esteem, according to rules
they will become masters in life (or they will become one with Siva).

Arunachala Siva.

Verses 3 and 4 of Tiru IrukkuvikkuraL (in Kanchipuram).

The karmas and their effects,  will not inflict sufferings if one worships with the things mentioned for worship,
Ekampam,. which is full of all things in Kanchipuram  of great bustle.

The Karmas and their effects, will not mingle with us if we praise Kanchipuram, in the group of second persons and
third persons, in the city of eminent Kanchipuram.

The acts, good and bad, will not mix with us if we praise in rejoice Ekampam, which is permanent in Kanchipuram,
which is full of good things.

The acts good and bad will not reach us if we praise the Lord who has as his shrine Ekambam,  in Kanchipuiam,
which has flags on the storeys.

Siva, who has the skin of an elephant, who is in Tiru Ekampam, burnt the three big cities, Tripura.

The shining feet of Kampan, (Ekambara Natha Swami,Siva) which have beauty, pressed firmly the King of Sri Lanka,.

People of this world! Worship with intention Ekampam, which shows the right path, of the God who rose as a column
of fire which could not be known by Brahma, who had knowledge of the Vedasx and Hari,Mal (Mahavishnu).

We shall go near Kampam, packed with all good things, in Kanchipuram, which does not follow the path of the Teravada
Buddhists, who do not pluck their hairs on their heads and Jains.

Fame will come of its accord for people who recite the words of the chief of Kanchipuram, and who praise Tiru Ekampam,
in Kanchipuram.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva,
in the temple of Tiruch Chitremam. This is in 3.042 of Saiva Canon.

This temple is nowadays called Tiruch Chitrambalam.  It is in Tiruvarur district.  One can go by bus from
Tiruvarur or Pattukkottai.  One can also take a train from Pattukkottai to Aranthangi and alight at the
station Tiruch Chitrambalam and go to the temple.

Siva - Tiruchitrambala Nathar.

Uma - Man ner vishi madhu, one who has got deer like eyes.

Holy tree - Aathi tree.

Holy tirtham - Swarna Tirtham.

As Uma with a bright face which is like the white full moon, sings, Siva, has a desirable nature of dancing, wearing
on the long matted locks, a white crescent moon, dwells.  This is  in Chitremam, surrounded by fields and verdant
gardens in which bees with wings hum like the music produced in Yaazh, (a violin instrument of the classical times).
He is the God who stands to be praised by all the people of this world as `the Supreme God`.

Arunachala Siva.
