The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva in the temple
ofTirunaalur (Mayanam).  Mayanam means in Tamizh cremation ground. The temple is in cremation ground and hence
the suffix Mayanam. This is in 2.46. of Saiva Canon.

The temple is located in Tiruvarur district, in Kudavayil taluk. One can reach by bus from Tiruvarur or Kumbakonam.

Siva - Palasa Vana Natheswarar.

Uma - Periya Nayaki.

Holy tree - Palasa tree.

Holy tirtham -  Jnana tirtham.

On the Siva Lingam the mountain serpents always move.  Hence the phrase 'paal oorum malaip paambu'.

The four Vedas and Apasthamba Maharshi have prayed to Siva here.

He is having mountain serpents moving on His body and He wears cool crescent moon, and Unmatham flowers on
His red matted locks. He is wearing sacred thread.  Those who remember His holy feet of my Father, they in spite of their delusions will have no rebirths.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung on Siva in the temple of Tiru Mayilai, Mylapore.
It is in 2.47. of Saiva Canon.

The temple is in Chennai city.

Poompaavai, a girl and daughter of Siva Nesan Chettiar died young and her father kept the skeletons of
the dead girl in a pot and was expecting Jnana Sambandhar to come and resurrect the girl.  The saint
sang this Padigam and the girl came back to life.  Siva nesam chettiar wanted the saint to marry her.
The saint said that since he has resurrected her, she is like his daughter and thus did not marry her.

This is the birth place of Vayilar Nayanar. The annual festival is quite famous and one day all the sixty
three saints are taken out for street procession.

Siva - Kapaleeswarar.

Uma - Kalpaga valli.

Holy tree - Punnai.

Holy tirtham - Tiruk kuLam. (a tank)

He is in Kapaleeswaram where there are punnai trees and He stays here with His consort who is like a peacock.
He is dancing with Rudra ganas in this temple.  O Poompaavai! Have you gone away without seeing this dance?

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva
in the temple of Tiruvenkaadu.  This is in 2.48 of Saiva Canon.

The temple is in Sirkazhi taluk, Nagappattinam district.  One can reach by bus from Sirkazhi or Nagappattinam,
or Kumbakonam.

There was one gentleman by name Achyuta Kalappaalar.  He had no children. He went and asked Arul
Nandi Sivachariyar to help him.  Arul Nandi Sivachariyar told him to find the verse in Tevaram by 'string
method' and read that verse.  The 'string method' is that the child is asked to place a long string in one
of the palm leaves of Tevaram and that string would show the verse to be read daily for boons. Achyuta Kalappalar
accordingly did and found the second verse of this Padigam and he chanted that verse  everyday.  He had
the boon of a male child. This child became the famous Mey Kanda Dhevar of Saiva Siddhantam and he
composed 11 verses titled Siva Jnana Sutram. This is like Brahma Sutram, for Saivites.

Pattinathar was from this place.

This is a place for worshipping  God of Mercury (planet) when the planet is not properly positioned in one's
horoscope.

Siva - Svedharnyeswarar.

Uma - Brahma Vidya Nayaki.

Holy tree - Banyan tree; Peepul tree; konrai tree.

Holy tirtham - Surya tirtham, Chandra tirtham, Agni tirtham.

He has a third eye on His forehead, Fire on His hand, has a woman on the left of His form, and crescent
moon on His matted locks. He likes music with sweet ragas. He stays in Venkadu and has a flag where
there is bull.

Arunachala Siva.

This verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva in the temple
of Sirkazhi.  This is in 2.49. of Saiva Canon.

The location of the temple, the names of Siva and Uma, the holy tree, the holy tirtham -- all these details
have been given in the first Padigam on Sirkazhi elsewhere in the serial post.

Here the young women, whose words are even like music, are singing and dancing in this temple everyday.
He is in Sirkazhi where there is sea nearby and this is seen even at eye's distance.  He is having His consort
on the left of His form.  The devotees who pray to His feet, saying,'He is our Lord, He is our Master,' have
no wants unfulfilled due to His grace.

He destroyed the Tripura, by taking the Mount Meru as a bow and Vishnu as arrow. 'How is it O brahmin?
please reply.' He is staying in Amaathoor, where there nice buildings, to which the southern wind blows

temple of Tirup Pugali, another name for Sirkazhi.  This is in 2.54 of Saiva Canon.

The details of the location of the temple, names of Siva and Uma, the holy tree, the holy tirtham have all
been given in the first verse of Sirkazhi in the serial post vide elsewhere.

You are concorporate with slender lady, the goddess.  You confer Moksha for those devotees who surrender to You.
You are in the beautiful temple of  Tirup pugali, which is near the south sea where the conch shells abound.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva in the temple
of Tiruch Changai. This is in 2.55. of Saiva Canon.

The temple is in Tranqubar taluk, in Nagappattinam district. One can go by bus from Nagappattinam
or Karaikkal.

Siva - Changanaaya iswarar.

Uma - Soundaryambika ammai.

Holy tree-  Purasai tree.

Holy tirtham - Changu tirtham, Kaveri river.

You are wearing good ear stud made of conch shells.  You speak the four Vedas and stay only in the
cremation ground not liking any other place. This Thalai Chagai is having cool paddy fields where the
areca nut trees grow and is very cool. The gardens have koels singing.

Arunachala Siva.

The following verse and the Padigam has been composed and sung by Tiru Jnana Sambandhar on Siva
in the temple of Tiruvidai maruthur.  This is in 2.56. of Saiva Canon.

The location of the temple, the names of Siva and Uma, the holy tree and the holy tirtham - all
these details have been given in the first Padigam on Tiruvidai maruthur, see my serial post elsewhere.

You have the sacred thread flowing like foam on your chest.  You have a retinue of bhoota ganas.
You have in your matted locks the Ganga. You chant Sama Veda. You are staying in Idaimaruthur,
where the beautiful brahmins pray to you in proper form. You are in the temple of that town.

Arunachala Siva.
