Ajati Vada
« on: January 15, 2014, 10:16:47 PM »
Namaste Friends,

Is it true that nothing really happened? Birth, death, bondage, liberation - everything is an illusion and they appear real only because we're currently 'lodged' in the human body? These things don't exist in deep sleep - so is it true that the turiya state is something similar, in that all that appears real now is negated totally?

Then why do people teach drishti-shristi vada or other creation theories, even in advaita?

Dear silence,

In Ajata Vada which has no difference for permanent turiya state, is what Gaudapada described in his Mandukya Karika.
There in  that state, the world will NOT disappear but shines as Brahma Swarupam.  The beginners have to consider the
world as unreal appearance and on attaining the state of Self Realization, the world will appear as the form of Self.
For example the cow, the dog, the world and the people will appear as cow, dog, world and people  but all will be in the
form of Self. This is the state of Self Realization.  This is different from deep sleep because for a Self Realized person, there
in the sleep there is no Ignorance but only the Self alone.
