Guru vachaka kovai and sannidhi murai - commentaries or lectures
« on: November 19, 2013, 12:10:51 AM »

Hari Om friends,
My limited Tamil doesn't let me appreciate or learn from these texts.
Are there any good commentaries or lectures/speeches on these?
Thanks,
Deepa

Dear Sri Deepa,

I am not sure if this will be of some help to You,and You are maybe aware of this work, but here is the link from Sri David Godman's site. There is pdf version of Guru Vachaka Kovai, with Michael James' and Saddhu Om's commentaries. I find it quite beautiful and understandable.

Thanks, Jewell ji. I will read these. I should have checked here.

Somehow, these days, listening seems more sublime than reading. I wish Nochurji did commentaries on all these texts.. it feels like Bhagwan himself is talking through him.

Guru Vachaka Kovai and Padamalai are best recommended from David Godman's translation verse by verse.

You can buy them and read through.

Sannidhi Murai --  i dont think anybody has come with translation.   But the RMCL has come up with good CD volumes with nice tunes of selected extracts from Sannidhi Murai.

Jyothi Ser Arunai Vaazhve --
Siva Ramana --
Sombalaai Pagale Thuyil Povene  --

songs like this are nectar like to hear on that CD.

Dear All,

I shall also write some passages from Sri Ramana Sannidhi Murai and GVK as and when it strikes my mind.

Arunachala Siva.
