"The only truth is I AM - I Exist. That is the only truth. Everything else is a concept. Rebirth is a concept. Your karma is a concept."

"Consciousness has produced this play. Consciousness has written the script. Consciousness is playing all the characters. And Consciousness is witnessing the play. It's a one man show."

"Enlightenment is total emptiness of mind. There is nothing you can do to get it. Any effort you make can only be an obstruction to it."

"Seekers continue to practice all kinds of self-torture without realizing that such 'spiritual practice' is a reinforcement of the very ego that prevents them from their natural, free state."

Dear Hari

I kindly request you not to give lot of importance to this aspect of teaching about efforts and torture which Ramesh emphasizes lot of times.

After Papaji attained maha samadhi lot of his disciples started this business of Guru satsang charging lot of money while Papaji never charged a penny (even in his foreign trips ,  the trip sponsorer should arrange for everything and no one attending the foreign satsang was allowed to be forced to donate for the expenses)

And with Sri Nisarghadatta Maharaj we all well know how he lived his life opp. to public toilet where the visitors for him very the aristocratic foreigners coming from their check in Taj Hotel Mumbai.

Maharaj never accepted the request of devotees to move to 'porsche' locality and never charged even a paise for his talks or to run his family.

But contrary to all this, this person you have quoted,  conducted lot of workshops near Kerala for 'money'.  And lot of reports later came on exploitation. This person was a bank manager and just a translator for Maharaj like Mullar Pattan and others.

Without any direct authorization ,  he started conducting workshops for money. I have read of people who were weeping being exploited by the misleading costly workshops in Kerala resorts.

Above all, we can still read the teachings of somebody if it is in par with what great Mahatmas tell.

This person's teachings are misleading -- mostly neo advaitic that is based on absolute determinism and zero efforts.  Maharaj never advocated this type of approach to sadhana.

So take caution --  all that glitters may not be gold.

No hard feelings please -- anyone who conducts workshop 'charge' based -- may be a pundit but definitely not a Guru.

Dear Krishna, I agree with you about the extreme deterministic view of Sri Ramesh. It is not Vedantic and therefore must be rejected. But with this instruction Sri Ramesh I think ment that by self-torture you don't go near Self-realization. This is very close to Sri Bhagavan's understanding.
