Ram Ram Shiva Ram

I know that Bhagavan gave the Mantra "Arunachala Shiva", but I find

Ram Ram
Shiva Ram
Ram Ram
Shiva Ram

to have a better, easier rhythm.

Ram = Ramana
Shiva = The Supreme Lord

What to do?

Just listen to your Heart. The Heart is the Lord Supreme, remember? If you feel this mantra resonates to all of your being, use it, no matter what other people tell you.

Best wishes,
Hari

Dear Jyoti,

I agree with Hari. Our heart knows and feels best what is in tune with it. I have read that someone asked similar question to Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj,and He said that we can chose our own japa or mantra. Something which resonates with us,which feels good and natural.

There is nothing appart from the Self,and the Self is our best guide anyway. Our Sadguru. And that is our heart. If these beautiful words came spontaniously to you,and you love them,then i dont see reason not to use it. I also used mantra which came to me by itself.

Just to add,this is one beautiful mantra!

With love and prayers,
