There will be many messengers, but the message is one:
be what you are.

The great are strongest when they stand alone.
A God-given might of being is their force.

And, for that love, the mighty yogis practise yoga from age to age;
When love awakes, the Lord, like a magnet, draws to Him the soul.

Listen! The flute has sounded in yonder wood.
There I must fly, for Krishna waits on the path.
Tell me, friends, will you come along or no?
To you my Krishna is merely an empty name;
To me He is the anguish of my heart.
You hear His flute-notes onlv with your ears,
But, oh, I hear them in my deepest soul.
I hear His  flute calling: 'Radha come out!
Without you the grove is shorn of its loveliness.'

Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa
From the Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna

The Ocean of Bliss that all life bestowed,
The goodly ambrosia,
The gem rare,
The gold pure,
The tattva that was seated firm in my heart,
The essence of advaita,
The effulgent light around,
The infinite space filled with light,
The Bliss of ineffable sweetness,
The seven worlds pervaded,
The Being that is past, present and future.

What the hell

The real love
I always keep a secret.

All my words
Are sung outside Her window,

For when She lets me in
I take a thousand oaths of silence.

But,then She says,

O, then God says,

"What the hell, Hafiz,
Why not give the whole world
My Address."

Hafiz

Today

I do not
Want to step so quickly
Over a beautiful line on God's palm
As I move through the earth's marketplace today.

I do not want to touch any object in this world
Without my eyes testifying to the truth
That everything is my Beloved.

Something has happened
To my understanding of existence
That now makes my heart always full of wonder
And kindness.

I do not
Want to step so quickly
Over this sacred place on God's body
That is right beneath your own foot,

As I dance with
Precious life today.

Keep me fully glad with nothing. Only take my hand in your hand.
In the gloom of the deepening night take up my heart and play with it as you list.
Bind me close to you with nothing.
I will spread myself out at your feet and lie still.
Under this clouded sky I will meet silence with silence.
I will become one with the night clasping the earth in my breast.
Make my life glad with nothing.
The rains sweep the sky from end to end.
Jasmines in the wet untamable wind revel in their own perfume.
The cloud-hidden stars thrill in secret.
Let me fill to the full of my heart with nothing but my own depth of joy.

LOVE, my heart longs day and night for the meeting with you -for the meeting that is
like all-devouring death.
Sweep me away like a storm; take everything I have; break open my sleep and plunder
my dreams. Rob me of my world.
In that devastation, in the utter nakedness of spirit, let us become one in beauty.
Alas for my vain desire! Where is this hope for union except in thee, my God?

Your soul once sat on an easel on my knee.
For ages I hve been sketching you
With myriad shapes of sounds and light;

Now awake, dear pilgrim,
With your thousand swaying arms
That need to caress the sky.

Show me just once
Those pure in body,mind and heart;
Show me those
Whose every act the practice of truth
And every word a blessing;
Show me your devotees who,
Having trampled darkness,shine brightly
And remain the same within and without,
O Lord,white as Jasmine!

Under Pressure

Pressure pushing
Down on me ,
Pressing down on you,
No man ask for...

Under pressure -
That burns a Nation down
Splits a family In two
Puts people On streets .
It's the terror
Of knowing
What this world
Is about.
Watching some
Good friends
Screaming
"Let Me out!"
Pray tomorrow
Takes me higher
Pray tomorrow
Takes me higher!

Tell me why ?

Can't we give ourselves
One more chance?
Why can't we give
Ourselves one more chance?

Why can't we give love?
Give love give love
Give love give love
Give love give love
Give love
Give love give love
Give love give love!

Cause love's such
An old fashioned word,
And love dares you To care
For people on the
Edge of the night.
And love dares you
To change our way
Of caring about ourselves...

This is our last dance
This is our last dance
This is ourselves!

O high
eternal Goodness, O my God!
What am I-the wretched one
-to You,
O soaring, everlasting Father,
that You have shown Your truth to me?
that You have shown the snares
the evil one has set- the snares my own
selfish heart lays out for me?
What moved in You to do such things for us?

Love alone, love unreturned, You have poured out
Your love without my answering love!
O fire of love Who burns me!

Father, give these Souls Yourself;
Let them be whom You Have Made
So they may set all ablaze.

One beautiful prayer. My favorite.

I Lalla opened the door to the jasmine garden
And there, oh Joy! I saw the love union of Shiva and Shakti
In that very place I drowned in their lake of bliss
Now although I am alive I die continually in that lake.
