Therefore, make your own future.
"Let the dead past bury its dead."
The infinite future is before you, and you must always remember that each word,
thought, and deed, lays up a store for you and that as the bad thoughts and bad works
are ready to spring upon you like tigers,
so also there is the inspiring hope that the good thoughts and good deeds
are ready with the power of a hundred thousand angels
to defend you always and for ever.

The highest things are under your feet, because you are Divine Stars;
 all these things are under your feet.
You can swallow the stars by the handful if you want; such is your real nature.
Be strong, get beyond all superstitions,
and be free.

"You cannot see That which is the Seer of seeing;
you cannot hear That which is the Hearer of hearing;
you cannot think of That which is the Thinker of thought;
you cannot know That which is the Knower of knowledge.
This is your Self, that is within all;
everything else but This is perishable."

Br. Upanishads 3.4.2

The Atman, the Sun of Knowledge that rises in the sky of the heart,
destroys the darkness of the ignorance, pervades and sustains all
and shines and makes everything to shine.

The term Atman indicates the Supreme Reality,
Omniscient, All-powerful,
Free from all phenomenal characteristics such as hunger and thirst,
Eternal, Pure, Illumined, Free,
Unborn, Undecaying, Deathless,
Immortal, Fearless, and Non-dual.

When whatever you desire is obtained as you desire, do not think that it is due to
the power of your tapas. Knowing that it is because of God's Grace, love his Feet
more and more.
Let that which happens, happen as it has to happen [i.e. as it is destined by God to
happen]. Do not think to go against it even in the least. Without doing anything as
a new starting, abide as one with the Sakshi [Self] who peacefully shines in the
Heart.
 The fruit of [the Guru's] making a failure of one's efforts is to make one
understand that only by the Guru's Grace and not merely by one's own effort can
Siddhi [the attainment of Self-knowledge] be obtained, and [thereby] to prepare
one to seek the Guru's Grace.
For those who, like Dattatreya, the son of Atri Maharshi, can learn a lesson from
everything [in this world], on account of their mind being not crooked and
perverted [but straightforward], the whole life in the world will be a gurukulam [a
learning centre].

A fear of death is fear of time. And the fear of time is,
deeply down,the fear of unlived moments,of an unlived life.
So what to do? Live more,and live more intensly.
It is your life. Don't sacrifice it for any sort of foolishness
that has been taught to you. It is your life: Live it!
Don't think it is courageous to die.
The only courage is to live life totally;
there is no other courage.

There is excellence all around you.
You need only be aware to stop
and savor it.

It could be said that God's foot is so vast
that this entire earth is but a field to His toe,
and all the forests in this world came from the same root
of just a single hair of His.
What then is not a sanctuary?
Where then can I not kneel and pray at a shrine
made holy by His presence?

10,000

Ten thousand flowers in spring,
the moon in autumn,
a cool breeze in summer,
snow in winter.

If your mind isn't clouded
by unnecessary things,
this is the best season of your life.

Kiss The Earth

Walk and touch peace every moment.
Walk and touch happiness every moment.
Each step brings a fresh breeze.
Each step makes a flower bloom.
Kiss the Earth with your feet.
Bring the Earth your love and happiness.
The Earth will be safe
when we feel safe in ourselves.

'We must speak to God as a friend speaks to his friend,
servant to his master;
now asking some favor, now acknowledging our faults,
and communicating to Him all that concerns us,
our thoughts, our fears, our projects, our desires,
and in all things seeking His counsel.

I asked thy love, the soul's sweet balm,
The bliss of heaven, the sea's great calm.
But with its joy find pain combined,
The deepest wound of human mind.

O Love, thy absence is a sting;
Thy presence sweet relief will bring.
Hasten this comfort to afford;
Complete my joy, O dearest Lord.
My heart is thine: its powers then fill
Consume whatever resists thy will.
Conquer, subdue; thy power display;
Let each affection own thy sway;
Let this whole soul thy grace obey.

Almighty grace, with heaven-born art,
Can cleanse, and heal, and strength impart.
Correct, restore whate'er's amiss
In this weak frame, this frail abyss.
Then make my heart of love divine the throne,
Or furnace kindled by thy love alone.

As iron bar bright flame imbibes.
And glowing shines with fire it hides:
Or solar rays which pierce our sight,
Dark air oft brighten into light:
So may thy beams all film remove,
And fill my soul with purest love.

O love, may thy omniscient art,
Which formed the heavens, now change my heart;
In thy bright furnace melt my frame,
Transform it whole into thy flame.

St Francis of Assisi:
from Into Love's Furnace I am Cast

They write letters whose spouses are afar.
My Beloved resides in my heart;
I need go nowhere to search for Him.

I live not with my parents,
Nor with my in-laws.
Ever do I live in the Word
My Master blessed me with.

Not mine nor thine is this house, O friend;
Mira lives absorbed in the Lord's hue.

Nothing is unattainable, my Lord,
to him who enjoys Your grace.
Through Your might,
a mere shred of cotton can surely burn a submarine fire
(the impossible can be made possible).

From old Ikshvaku's line He came,
Known to the world by Rama's name-
With soul subdued,a chief of might,
In Scriptures versed,in glory bright.
His steps in virtue's paths are bent,
Obedient,pure and eloquent.
In each emprise He wins success,
And dying foes His power confess.
Tall and broad-shouldered, strong of limb,
Fortune has set her mark on Him.
Graced with a conch-shell's triple line,
His throat displays the auspicious sign.
High destiny is clear impressed
On massive jaw and ample chest,
His mighty shafts he truly aims,
And foemen in the battle tames.
Deep in the muscle, scarcely shown,
Embedded lies His collar-bone.
His lordly steps are firm and free,
His strong arms reach below his knee;
All fairest graces join to deck
 His head, His brow, His stately neck,
And limbs in fair proportion set:
The manliest form ever fashioned yet.
