Truth expressed
« on: April 30, 2012, 12:08:01 PM »
Any number of books I read or listen to, I keep coming back to this Valli 2.14 from Kathopanishad. I wonder if anything else can make every cell of our body understand Truth in a better way - humble salutations to the original texts - The Upanishads.

Dont know - how to post as image hence attaching 2.14 here. Meaning in English (pardon my own translation) as spoken by Nachiketas to Yama:

Tell me that one, if any, which you see beyond virtue or vice, that which is beyond what is done and what is not done, that which is beyond past and future - please tell me about that

Salutations to Bhagawan

Dear sanjaya ganesh,

There are several definitions of Truth in Upanishads. Chandogya Upanishad for example, says

yena asrutam srutam bhavati - It is That by knowing Which all the unknown becomes known.

Sri Bhagavan's definition in Ulladu Narpadu is: That which can be experienced if all thoughts cease, in the Heart.

Arunachala Siva.
