outwardness and inwardness of mind
« on: March 28, 2012, 11:25:27 AM »
बाह्यादृष्टिर्हि नियतं सुखदुःखादि विन्दति ।
नान्तर्मुखतया योगो देहे वेत्ति प्रियाप्रिये ॥

By looking on the outside, we are subjected to the feelings or experiences of pains and pleasures, but the inwardly oriented Yogi, is unconscious of the pain or pleasure of this body.

(Guru Vasishta)

The Truth as declared by the Sages can be summed up as follows, the outwardness of mind is misery and its inwardness is happiness

(Bhagavan Ramana)

Salutations to Bhagavan
॥ शांतमात्मनि तिष्ट ॥
Remain quietly in the Self.
~ Vasishta

Dear Nagaraj,

Once outside the Old Hall, some learned visitors were discussing something elaborately. It was quite hot outside and the sun
was scorching. Sri Bhagavan said: Why are you standing outside. It is hot. Come in, come in. It is cool here.

Reference invited to Sannidhimurai song no.1070,by Muruganar.

Thou directed me to enter inside, but Iam blind with ignorance , can't find the way ,lead me there.

"kannilen ,gadi kankilen, kanbiye" .If you give direction to a blind man to  take left ,right and reach centre, it is of no use.You have to hold his hand and lead him to his place.

So, let us pray Bhagavan to lead us to the cavern of our heart to discover the Light of Knowlege.

you are already there .. you have only to stop believing you are not
simply stop telling the story of the self and see who you are without it

Dear Beloved Abstract,

Yes. We are believing everything outside. We are believing 13th planet, distant galaxies, our own horoscopes, God's particle
etc., etc.,  However we do not believe in the unshakable truth that we are the Self.
