Is it right to let your legs follow your wayward eyes?...
« on: March 22, 2012, 10:41:07 AM »
கண் போன போக்கிலே கால் போகலாமா?
கால் போன போக்கிலே மனம் போகலாமா?
மனம் போன போக்கிலே மனிதன் போகலாமா?
மனிதன் போன பாதையை மறந்து போகலாமா?

kan pona pokkile kaal pogalama,
kaal pona pokkile manam pogalama,
manam pona pokkile manidhan pogalama,
manidhan pona paathaiyai maranthu pogalama

Wherever our eyes go, can our legs also go?
Wherever our legs go , can our mind also go?
Wherever the mind goes , can the person also to go with it?
Can we forget the journey that great people endeavored?

nee paartha paarvaigal kanavodu pogum,
nee sonna vaarthaigal kaatrodu pogum,
oor paartha unmaigal unakkaga vaalum,
unaraamal poovorkku uthavaamal pogum,

The visions that you saw will go off with the dreams,
The words you spoke will go off with  the wind,
The truths that the world saw, will live for you,
for those who dint feel this truth, it will be of no use.

(The main essence of the above lines is that a man’s actions and thinking should not be driven by all the worldly pleasures that his senses perceive and realise the transient nature of the world, and, awake, and strive to seek to attain the truth seen by the great people, for it is only this that will give you release)

(Tamil Poet Vaali)

i see no should or shouldnt in this , i see only the statement of possibility and perhaps an invitation to stop and see who we really are
simply stop telling the story of the self and see who you are without it
