काले कंठस्फुरदसुकलालेशसत्तावलोकव्यग्रोदग्रव्यसनिसकलस्रिग्धरूद्धोपकण्ठे ।
अन्तस्तोदैरवधिरहितामार्तिमापद्यमानेऽप्यंघ्रिद्वंन्द्वे तव निविशतामन्तरात्मन् ममात्मा ॥


kāle kaṇṭhasphuradasukalāleśasattāvaloka-
vyagrodagravyasanisakalasnigdharuddhopakaṇṭhe |
antastodairavadhirahitāmārtimāpadyamāne-
'pyaṁghridvandve tava niviśatāmantarātman mamātmā || 38 ||

May my mind, O Lord that art the inner Self, be fixed  on thy pair of feet, even at the moment when I shall be oppressed by innumerable internal pangs, when all my kith and kin will crowd around me with uncontrollable sorrow, anxious to see whether the slightest trace of breath still throbs in my throat!
