Dear friends,
We keep reminders for all our activities on our mobile or our desktop / laptop.But we also find that most of the time we do those activities at a time different from the reminder time which means the act has been prompted by our subsconscious - nay our self.The reminders thus sometimes serve as a pointer to something that needs to be done but can also cause agitation when we refer back to them at a time when we can do nothing about it, say a time when we have left the office and see a reminder to send a mail through our official mail id.(say in a case where we do not have laptops).
Do we have fellow sadhaks on this forum,who concentrate on self enquiry in all their waking  time and trust the self for all the day to day tasks to be done by them without keeping reminders on our cell phone or PC/laptop .Also whether they have been successful in doing what needs to be done at a a given time without slipping or being sounded off by their bosses.Devotees to kindly share their ideas on the same.

Dear Self,

Why would you want to keep a reminder in first place? I am at a loss to understand your query really. Could you please highlight your question?

Dear Sir,
reminders for tasks to be done say for an office project or a client order ,some important tasks related to th home etc.
Can we do away with remembering such tasks through gadgets and depend on the self.

Why not? When the mind is Achalam, unperturbed why need any support? All these inventions have come about only because humans are basically unable to still their mind and bring it into perspective. it is constantly in a state of "Fluster" or agitated. So they invented objects and instruments to do the job for him.

It is like being unable to fight the villain, we run away due to cowardice! All inventions have only cause maximum diseases. Be it washing machine, Vacume cleaner, grinding machine. These were all a source of great exercise for a people and people, some years back had no sugar complaint, back aches, or any such modern ailments these days. 

Before the invention of Mobile phone, we remembered the telephone numbers of so many people? did we do it with great effort? but today, I do not know much numbers except very few important numbers! Such is the curse of gadgets and instruments on us!

When the mind is trained to remain calm, one needs no effort to remind oneself of anything.

Practice of Basic Yogasanas are specially very good for calming the mind to peace and we will eventually become less dependent on external gadgets and objects.

Mind needs to be clear. We should affirm first that the MIND IS IN OUR CONTROL. Mind is not by itself. WE ARE THE BOSS OF THE MIND AND WE CAN CONTROL THE MIND. We need to affirm this constantly.

Daily meditation facilitates this. This can be quickly sorted out by a little sincere practice with utmost earnestness.

To be totally free of any help is our true nature.
