Dear mcozire, thank you for your kind words.
Yes, this is the conclusion I made for myself too. Actually Classic Advaita Philosophy is not solipsistic at all. Just Bhagavan Ramana's view of drishti-srishti vada is the main solipsistic source of Advaita known today. But we must consider this teaching of Him as useful way of view of life which can help sadhaka to enhance vairagya and viveka and this way to accelerate the realization of the Self. He has firmly stated however that only ajata vada is the most close theory to the Truth and all other are just for the taste of the different sadhakas. In my view the Truth is one and It has many faces. To believe that you (as the ego) are the cause of the universe and all other are your imagination is distorted Advaita. This is not Shankara's view. This is much later theory grounded by some Advaita communities. So we should not even for a second make this mistake again that solipsism and Classical Advaita are even closer to each other.

"I wept before the Mother and prayed. "O Mother, please tell me, please reveal to me what the yogis have realized through yoga and the jnanis through discrimination." And the Mother has revealed everything to me. She reveals everything if the devotee cries to Her with a yearning heart. She has shown me everything that is in the Vedas, the Vedanta, the Puranas, and the Tantra."

"To my Divine Mother I prayed only for pure love. I offered flowers at Her Lotus Feet and prayed to Her: "Mother, here is Thy virtue, here it Thy vice. Take them both and grant me only pure love for Thee. Here is Thy knowledge, here is Thy ignorance, take them both and grant me only pure love for Thee. Here is Thy purity, here is Thy impurity. Take them both, Mother, and grant me only pure love for Thee. Here is Thy dharma, here is Thy adharma. Take them both, Mother, and grant me only pure love for Thee.""

Hi Hari! :)

Many thanks for your reply.

I find ajata vada, very hard to comprehend.

But I shall do my best ask to what Sri Ramana has asked of me first, that is to find out who I am.

Here is something small I wrote, praise be to the one for it. I hope you don't mind me adding it here, and that it is suiting.

You are.
You are an undivided whole.
At your centre you are one, as I am.
As this I am in you, and you are in me.
We share the most intimate of phenomena which is seen through our invisible eye. It is inseparable from itself, it is life.
It knows only peace and joy. It is unbound.
Be still and know that you are that which is.
Indestructible, unconquerable, full of love.

Much love,
Mark.

Very beautiful, dear mcozire. This is indeed what is the Peace and Happiness we are searching for. We call it the Self, Brahman, etc. We use different terms making it like something so far away and difficult to understand but it is actually the happiness we have experienced sometime in the moments when the mind stop functioning but we are aware of that. This is what Bhagavan has taught me. This is the most practical and fatherly advice from Him which made me strong in the process of Self-realization. He gave me the courage that the Self-realization is the most natural thing in the world and it is for everyone and it's worth it all sacrifices that we make for attaining it. This is the best part of His teaching and I take it for granted and this is enough for me. Surrender to God and searching for the Sat-chit-ananda within, this is the summun bonus of all spirituality!

Many thanks for you kind words Hari.

At this time the words you speak are easing my mind, as I am currently grappling with what I think is being brave enough to gradually surrender or let go in every moment. Sometimes I feel, if I let go completely, what will happen to the rest of my life? Maybe it will fall apart etc.

Many thanks.
Mark.

Surrender is not what we think it is. It is not 'doing-nothing'. This is impossible. It is detachment from the sense of doership. But this can happen only naturally with the Grace of God. There is no other way.

- Good morning! - said Bilbo, and he meant it. The sun was shining, and the grass was very green. But Gandalf looked at him from under long bushy eyebrows that stuck out farther than the brim of his shady hat.
- What do you mean? - he said. - Do you wish me a good morning, or mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not; or that you feel good this morning; or that it is a morning to be good on?
- All of them at once. - said Bilbo.

Thanks Hari. Yes I think this is what I am grappling with at the moment, I think I know though what you mean. Many thanks.

Love the Lord Of the Rings quote!

Dear Mark, everything will happen when it is time. What use if the fruit falls down when it is unripe? Only God knows the right time for us. :)
