Dear Nagaraj,

Nice. Laghu Vasudeva Mananam describes four characteristics of Atman:

1. The Atman is different from the gross body, subtle body and the causal body.

2. The Atman is different from the five sheaths.

3. The Atman is the Witness of the three states of waking, dreaming and deep sleep.

4. The nature of the Atman is Sat Chit Ananda.

Of these four characteristics of the Atman, the first two are obtained  through elimination, Vyavritti Lakshana.
The third is the contiguous feature, Tatastha Lakshana and the fourth is the direct experiential feature, Svarupa Lakshana.

The two invocatory verses of Ulladu Narpadu, speak of Tatastha Lakshana and Swarupa Lakshana of Atman i.e Ulladhu.

Dear Subramanian Sir,

Yes, the first 2 Mangala Shlokas of Ulladu Naarpadu itself gives the entire Vedanta Saaramsha. the direct devotees of Bhagavan considered the Srimad Bhagavata, an elaborate Bhashyam commentary on Ulladu Naarpadu; and Ulladu Naarpadu gives the entire tatva in a nutshell and the first 2 shlokas themselves are enough for one who is really quick!

And talking about the second mangala shloka, the name of RA MA NA itself has MA RA NA (death) in it - (death of ego)

Yes. The two invocatory verses comprise the entire Vedanta, and apart from Nochur, earlier T.R. Kanakammal also mentioned it in
her commentary on Sri Ramana Nool Thirattu. I heard one audio CD of Nochur's talk on Ulladu Narpadu in Coimbatore, where he
describes the first two slokas, for about 3 hours!  He has covered the 42 slokas of Ulladu Narpadu in 6 six years and each time
seven days and each day about 1.15 minutes!

In Sri Ramanasramam he spoke about Hrudaya Vidya for seven days in the Samadhi Hall for 7 days.  Ganesan used to call him
the living embodiment of Sri Bhagavan's teachings.
