Body of Bhagavan after his arrival in Thiruvannamalai
« on: August 31, 2011, 09:29:11 PM »
After his arrival in Thiruvannamalai when he spent his time in Patala Lingam and other places immersed in the bliss of the self,Bhagavan once remarked   that his body did not remain the same .What did he mean by the same?.I would like to think that what he meant his appearance and everything else was taken over by the atmic force or Brahman such that even his face was representative of Bhagavan .
Hence even looking at his face is akin to looking at Arunachala and introverts our mind to self introspection.

Dear Anand,

The body did not remain the same - means that His body as you
said, since it was a home of Brahman and that too for a realized
Jnani - it started shining slowly and became like burnished gold,
though he was only in brown in colour. Again all this - is for onlooker's
views. He never knew whether it shone like burnished gold or ebony
black. Because He had no body sense.  Rangan, His class mate
also once remarked that His became soft like silk.  Chadwick says
that His body   was exuding a light but pleasant smell, though He never
used any scented soap. When He was lean or somewhat bulky
[ early years and later years] and again when it was smothered by
disease [in final years], His eyes were shining like stars. This was
there all through.

Arunachala Siva.
