Help for hallucination problem of PArkinson's disease.
« on: August 07, 2011, 08:49:01 AM »
Dear friends,
MAy father has had a rough life since childhood and atleast in retirement when I hoped, that I could contribute to his comfortable living , he has had one severe problem after another.
One a byepass surgery and worst Parkinsonism since 2004.
While his tremors are reduced his hallucination problem has been  very much aggravated in recent times and he imagines all kinds of strange things like animals or people where none exist .
He is of course being treated by a very good doctor but I wanted to explore something which could help without medication i.e something originating from the metaphysical like  a special mantra whcih I could recite and which could bring relief to him.
Can someone help.

Dear Ananda Sundaram,

Apart from medication, which should not be stopped on account of
the following, the undermentioned  mantras will also be of great help.

1. The all-cure manta of Arunachala Siva, Arunachala Siva.

2. On Subrahmanya:

    Nityannadhana niradham satchitananda vigraham
Sarvaroha haram devam subrahmanyam upasmahe ||

I pray to the One who gives food to everyone, who is the embodiment
of Jnana and Ananda, one who cures all diseases - I  pray to Him,
   Sri Subrahmanyam.

3. This is on Pazhani Murugan:

    Kalpatrumam pranamadam, kamala roopanam,
    Skandam pujatvayam anamayam, eka vakthram,
    Katyayani priya sudham, kadibatha vamam
Koupina thanda dharadakshina hasta meede ||

One who is like Kalpaga Tree for those who surrendered to him,
one who is as beautiful as a red lotus, one with two hands, and one
who removes the diseases of all those who come to him, one with
one face, the dear son of Katyanani [Uma], one who has got his
hand on his waist and the right hand with a stick, and wearing
coupina,  I pray to that Skanda for his grace.

The above three mantras can also be chanted by proxy by someone
else, if the aggrieved person cannot pray himself.

Arunachala Siva.
