Siva, why people call you a madcap?
« on: February 22, 2009, 12:20:06 PM »
Saint Poet Kalamegam, goes to Mayuram, Mayiladuthurai, which is the correct name, is today's name for the town.  There he sees Siva,
Mayurantha Swami and Avayamba, the goddess Uma.  He sings a
song on that Siva:

O Mayuranatha!  People call you a great philanthrophist!
But I am telling you are a madcap!
When you have the silver mountain Kailash
And a golden mountain, Meru,
When your wife Uma is always beside you, telling: "Do not
   fear when I am here!"
How come you take poison as your food daily?
