Hello friends,

I thought of sharing this information for those who would like to hear sh.jayendra swamigal of kanchi mutt on sankara TV.

Guruvarul

(Sri Sankara TV, Sundays, 1 p.m.)

Sri Jayendra Saraswati gives explanations on Viveka Choodamani and other texts.

The programme is repeated on Saturdays, 8.30 p.m.

Dharmasastra

(Sri Sankara TV, Sundays, 9 p.m.)

Sri Seshadrinatha Sastrigal answers questions on Dharmasastra, related to life, rituals, customs and practices.

The programme is repeated at 11.30 a.m. the following Saturday.

Dear SLakshmi,

I watch these programmes occasionally. Dharma sastra is quite good
but Seshadri Natha Swamigal insists upon only karma aspects of Hindu philosophy.  He does not say much about Jnana.

GuruvaruL is okay.  Sri Vivekachoodamani descriptions and meanings of the slokas are also okay.

I watch Sri Damodara Dikshitar's Naalvar, the Four, covering Saint
Tiru Jnana Sambandhar, Saint Tirunavukkarasar, Sri Sundaramurty
and Saint Manikkavachagar on Sunday at 4.30 pm.  This is quite good.

Thats good information subramanian sir. I shall watch it.

Also, in the SVBC channel, which is promoted by the tirupati devasthanam, they show live telecast of Kalyanotsavam everyday around 12 pm. It is very nice. The commentary is both in tamil and telugu. Also, in the evening around 5.30 pm they show live kutcheris by various vidwans od instrumental and vocal performing from tirupati.

They also show around 4 i think, about various temples in and around Tamil Nadu and andhra which have not been much heard of. Beautiful, huge temples and their puranams are shown.

Such programmes and channels are such a blessing. We get to learn so much...and gives such joy!

Dear SLaksmi,

Thank you very much.  I saw the TV channel of TTD while I was in
Hyderabad on two occasions, once for my son's wedding and again for his first Deepavali in his parents in law's house for which we had also been invited.

Here in Bangalore, our cable TV operator does not telecast the TV
channel of TTD.
