Dear prasanth,

Thanks for the link.  I am yet to watch the video.  Normally, Sri Vidya
Homam is a day long celebration, a mini-Kumbahishekam for Meru in
Mother's Temple, once a year.  It covers Navarana Puja, Sri Chakra Puja, Saraswati Puja  and other rituals.  I have not seen it in the Asramam so far.  I however, attended once Sri Chakra Puja which was conducted in the evening, when I visited Asramam on 26th Jan - 29th Jan 2011.  Sri Chakra Puja is done very Friday.

Dear prasanth,

I and my wife visited Asramam on 26th to 29th Jan. 2011.  We reached only around 11 am in the car, since the road between Krishnagiri and T'malai was very bad.  We were asked to take lunch immediately.  Then, this time, we were allotted room in Post Office Guest House. This is newly done up and was quite convenient. After lunch and some rest, we again went to the Asramam around 2.30 pm. We were sitting in the Samadhi Hall and for sometime we were buying books, in the book depot. Around 3.p.m. we again went to Samadhi Hall and spent time in meditating.  We were seeing ladies making small packets of vibhuti and kumkum. We also met Lucy Ma's daugher and some known friends. Dr. Srinivasamurty who was not well and was taking treatment in Bangalore was back in the Asramam, healthy.

After 4 pm tea, we were participating in the book reading. They were reading from Kanakammal's commentary on Atma Sakshatprakaranam and David Godman's Be As You Are.  It was Republic Day. So in the evening, several school children, with their teachers had come as a small 'excursion' to the Asramam.   I was wondering some of these children would in their time, become great Ramana Devotees.  We could also see wife of Nochur Venkataraman and their little boy
Sadasivan.  Nochur we were told, had gone to some outside town for conducting satsangh.

The next day, 27th Jan. was of the same routine. The Friday, 28th Jan. was a special day.  That evening, Sri Chakra Puja was conducted between 4.30 PM and 8 P.M.  It was quite nice and elaborate.  We participated in archana by buying special tickets.  Sweet Pongal and Vada were distributed as prasadam.  Ilayaraja, the music director had also come for that puja.  He was doing pradakshina of Samadhi Hall and Mother's temple, many number of times.  Without anyone knowing his presence inside the Asramam, he was doing meditation inside the dining hall!

The 28th Jan. Saturday was of same routine.  On 28th since it was Saturday, and normally less crowded we went to Big Temple and had good darshan of Annamalaiyar and Unnamulai, Kambathu Ilayanar and other deities.  We also did giri pradakshinam that evening.

On 29th morning, after breakfast, we started return journey.  Since the roads were bad, it took 6 and 1/2 hours, instead of normal 5 hours.  We reached around 2.30 PM.

Dear prasanth,

You may visit around Dec 2011-Jan 2012, when Sri Bhagavan's
Jayanti falls.  It will be nice to watch the proceedings of Jayanti celebrations.  But the crowd will be heavy.
