Dear S.Lakshmi,

In my view this news is incorrect.  I have gone almost a dozen times
to the Asramam, during the last 3 years.  At no time, they served
kurma with garlic, pattai, sombu etc.,  Kurma is never in the menu
of the Asramam.  Only onions are used in sambhar and perhaps
occasionally in upma.  Onions are used right from Sri Bhagavan's
times.

Dear S.Lakshmi,

It is okay.  Such incorrect news are sometimes passed on by others.
Once my co brother wanted to visit the Asramam.  I told him to apply 3 weeks in advance and that they would allot room for three days only.  He applied but the Asramam had expressed inability to approve accommodation.  He started telling me that the Asramam would give accommodation only for known people like me and not to him.  I  felt very bad and told him that they would give accommodation for anybody provided enough notice was given and if their rooms were fill they could not approve.  But somehow he did not trust my words.  What to do?

No one is as truthful in life as Asramam inmates. They live as per
Sri Bhagavan's words.  But we normally normal people tend to distrust them in case something that we had wanted do not take place.

Subramanian sir,

What you say is very true. Outside people may think what they have to...but the inmates only live by bhagavan's teachings. Since bhagavan is not there in person, they are even more particular about staying true to his way of living. I can say from my experience that i have always applied through mail and have got immediate response from them on the availability of accomodation. They also recommend an available dates to accomodate you if they cant provide on the dates given by you.

Its better to apply in advance. there is a lot of rush on special occassions. Rooms are limited and people come in lakhs. We should understand that and try to help the ashram in being more adjusting..

Dear SLakshmi,

Yes.  Once during Mahadeepam time in 2008, I had asked for permission  for three days.  They immediately responded saying
that they are not able to provide but instead asked me to come
5 days later.  I had agreed.  When I went there, the Mahadeepam
on the Hill was still burning [it would normally burn for 10 days,
unless there is bad weather and gusty winds as in 2010] and I
could see it for all the three days.  Particularly in nights, it is
highly visible, say from 6.30 PM.  The room given was so convenient
and I could see also from the room.  It was a wonder of wonders.
From Seshadri Swami shrine, Sri Dakshinamurty, is also very clearly
visible.

Sri Bhagavan's grace is immense and what He wants is only abundant faith and subdued ego.
