I saw the Rishabha Vahanam, Wooden Car and Mahadeepam [inside
the Asramam] from the Asramam blog.  From Forum's Webcam,
I saw the light at 5.59 PM Bangalore time.  I kept the webcam
giving the photos from 5.30 and was looking at it.  At 5.59 the light
was seen.  My wife then lighted the lamps in our house, one by one.
It is a sight for which angels are waiting.  Bhagavan Ramana says
in Deepa Darsana Tattvam song:

Leaving the buddhi which states that I am the body.
And directing that buddhi to the Heart.
And with a Self-ward attention, to see the Light within,
Is the principle of Annamalai Deepam which is the centre of the world.

Bhagavan Ramana used to sit at the outer portal [the present front
space of temples] on an easy chair and simply gaze at the Hill
and rejoice in happiness like a child, when the Light is seen on
the summit of the Hill.

Sri Arunachala Pancharatnam, Verse 1:

Ocean of Nectar, full of Grace,
O Self Supreme, O Hill of Light,
Whose spreading rays engulf all things,
Shine as the Sun which makes
The heart-lotus blossom fair.

I and my wife were in T'Malai in 2008, after the 3rd day of Mahadeepam and still saw the light for another 3 days.

In 2009, we could not make it.  This year, it is all Bhagavan's

[Tr. Prof. K. Swaminathan]

Arunachala Siva.

Dear Subramanian Garu,

Glad that you have viewed the deepam from webcam available in forum.

In 2009 for the first time i and my wife visited arunacham and that too 1 day before deepam.

We have witnessed a huge crowd doing girivalam on deepam day and i was shocked.

This year though i am supposed to be present in arunachalam in december 1st week but due to bhagavan's will i need to cancel my 2010 arunachalam trip.

Hopefully our family should visit this holy town in 2011 if bhagavan permits.
