Dear prasanth,

Yes.  I saw only a photograph in the news paper showing the dancers
dancing on the main portal of the Thanjavur Temple, at night with
lights and other effects.  The Government of Tamizh Nadu is having
some celebrations in Thanjavur, commemorating the completion of
1000 years of Thanjavur Big Temple.   There are literary speeches,
songs and book reading in the celebrations.  There is already one
stone statue of King Raja Raja outside the temple.  They might
have pained and garlanded the statue.

I won't be surprised if someone gives a special name for the
Chief Minister as Karunandihi Chozhan!

There is also one dam and bridge near Tiruchy on Kaveri which
was built by King Karikaalan around the same time, perhaps within
100 years thereafter.  This bridge and dam are even today quite strong without any major civil repairs.
