Self Surrender is Very Important
« on: August 18, 2010, 10:17:42 AM »
Whether one is practising Self Inquiry or Bhakti, Self Surrender is of utmost importance.
When one surrenders the "I" , one is Left with just the Self.
The surrender is not really offering what we have at the alter of God.
Surrender is to recognize that there is really nothing that belongs to me! This body , this mind, this "I", nothing belongs to me.
It is the recognition that long before we even requested for it, we are already consumed by God. We are already absorbed in God.

so God alone being present, who has worries, who has problems. who is there who is realized or unrealised!!
God Alone IS.

Arunachala Alone IS.

Dear srkudai,

Yes.  Srimad Narayaneeyam says as the words of Prahlada, nine
types of service to God.  In these, Atma Nivedanam, or self-
surrender is the last and this is the most important thing also.

Arunachala Siva.
