This is a small bit sung by Sri. Vijay Shiva in Maargazhi Maha Uthsavam in 09'. Just thought all of you can enjoy it just as i did. I was wondering if any carnatic singer has sung the complete AAMM in different Raagas. It would be so nice. One of the verse being sung is one of my favourite verse from AAMM

காந்தம் இரும்புபொல் கவர்ந்தெனை விடாமல் கலந்தெனொ டிருப்பாய் அருனாசலா

As a magnet draws iron, draw me to yourself,
O Arunachala: hold me fast, be one with me.

Dear Prasanth ji

Like Vijay Shiva, Illaiyaraja, Sudha Ragunathan, and Malgudi Subha also sang. Malgudi Subha's Saranagathi song is very nice. Once in her interview she sang two lines. They say cd. are available in Ashramam. Whoever sings Arunachala padigam it is like Manikkavachakar's Pidiththa Paththu. melting one.

Dear ramanaduli garu,

Somehow i became big fan of tamilians and tamil nadu for dedication in work and making india feel proud.

3 Nobel prizes are from tamil nadu will tell it is a wonder state.

I can quote several examples of great persons and i am sure list will be endless.

So you see madam i need to learn lot from tamilians and thank god i became devotee of bhagavan ramana.

Please pass me any online youtube video songs links related to bhagavan of great singers you mentioned if at all possible.

Tamizh as we know toaday, its past, rare scriptures, manuscripts, everything we owe to Sri U V Swaminatha Iyer.

Further infomation can be checked from Wikipedia:

The standard version as approved by the Asramam, is one sung by
one Sri Prabhakar and his group.  This is the musical rendering of
the all the five songs of Sri Arunachala Stuti Panchakam.  This
is available as CD in the Asramam.  There is also one chanting
variation, as sung by men and women in Tamizh parayana on
Monday to Saturday evenings in the Samadhi Hall.  This is also
available as CD.  The srirmanamaharshi.org the official website
of the Asramam, has adopted the musical rendering of Sri Prabhakar and his group.

A lot of others like Ramananjali Group of Bangalore, Malgudi Subha,
Vijaya Siva, ILayaraja and S.P. Balasubramanian have sung Stuti
Panchakam songs.  But most of these all re-mix varieties.

Arunachala Siva.
