« on: May 15, 2010, 10:41:33 AM »

Sri Ramana Pada Maalai continues.

Verse 6:  He is the Refuge who came to Him with fear,
Let this Master's feet, long live.
He is the One who took the poison as nectar,*
He is the Master, Long live His feet.
(* allusion to Siva who took poison.  It also means
that Bhagavan Ramana converted even the poisonous
                devotees as nectar.)

Verse 7:   He is the One who cleans up all the sins
He is the Primordial, Let His feet long live,
He is the One who takes care that no misery
                    approaches the devotee,
He is the Father, Let His feet, long live,

Verse 8:    He is the God, long live His feet,
He does good even to the one who does bad to Him,
He is the One who converts the stone like heart as
                   a ripe fruit.
He is the God, Long live His feet.

Verse 9:     He is like rain clouds that pour down without
                      any recompense from the people,
He is generous, let His feet long live,
He is sweet spoken like honey,
He is the God, Long live His feet.

Verse 10:    He told us to investigate "Who am I?" and
To leave everything else, Long live His feet,
He said: "If you find out who you are,
All your miseries vanish," He is the Peace,
                     long live His feet.

Verse 11:     "The body is desire, it is not you"
                  Said He and conferred Wisdom.
"Shift all the load to God," said He,
                   Let His feet, long live.

Verse 12:      He shifted all the load to God,
And remained still, let His feet long live,
He taught us to be like that ever still,
He is the Excellence, Let His feet live long!
