Vivekachudamani says Give no more thought to the body
« on: April 25, 2010, 11:47:39 AM »
Just as the cow does not care about the garland round its neck, so too he (the yogi) does not care whether the body, bound by the strings of past karma, lives or dies. So you too reject this inert, impure body, and realize the pure and eternal Self of wisdom.

Give no more thought to the body.

Dear prasanth,

Giving no thought to the body, should be the guidelines for
seekers for Atma Vichara.  But body has to be taken care of
by everyone, for bhakti and yoga marga.   Some thoughts should
be given to the body, so that the bhakta can do temple visits,
holy bath, making garlands, cleaning up the temple premises
etc.,  The yogi should necessarily have a fit body.  When one
attains  Jnana, then there is no body consciousness at all.
That is the end of the story.

The body is a must, with which one should start his journey.
First see the world, gets unattached to the world, follow one
of the margas, and finally attain Atma Jnana.  This is what
ULLadu Narpadu, Verse 5 says, which we shall see soon.

Arunachala Siva.
