Dear grhluna,
The ego of the ajnani is so strong, it tries to evaluate and judge jnanis. It gets attracted to a particular jnani's body, words, descriptions; thinking that by doing so it is along the path to liberation when in fact it gets into more and more bondage. I am sure you understand and can watch yourself to see whether this is happening or not. Self realization seems to be about compassion and oneness, not about separativeness or superiority. A lot more can be understood from the way Bhagawan behaved towards animals in the ashram and people in the dining hall, rather than by reading his books or by repeating some words he used.
