In both the dream state and waking state, the same mind operates.  Only the
dream body and waking body are different.  In a deep sleep, no sweat and
no ejaculation because one does not see anything there.  That is why, in a house,
where death has taken place and the dead body is not yet taken to the cremation/
burial ground, women and men after long hours of crying and chest beating, finally
goes to sleep say at about 2 am.  Between that 2 am and 4 am, when they are in
deep sleep, there is no 'seeing' of dead body, no 'loss' is experienced and that is
why they sleep.  On waking up, they start chest beating and crying.  Since there
is absence of mind, where there is no sex, bereavement or fear, they do not experience
any effects of such emotions at all.

Dear prasanth,

Your GVK quote is excellent.

Waking sex may produce a child who will grow to become a rishi. Dream sex is fruitless.
